Jonathan and his team catered my wedding this summer. I couldn't have asked for a better group of people to help me. Jonathan was very knowledgeable in decor, wedding flow and best of all, food quality. Prior to the wedding, I really appreciated him prepping a meal for us to sample the quality of his work. He created a timeline for the day and really helped us accurately gage how much food and drinks to have for our guests. I was able to ask questions and get answers quickly. At the wedding, the decor and food were amazing. To this day, I still get people commenting on how amazing the food was and how beautiful the set up was. I loved that Jonathan helped keep the flow of the day going. He helped keep us on schedule, which I greatly appreciated since I was floating on air that day. I think one thing that could be improved is their cake cutting skills. I loved the fact that we didn't have to cut our cake but the girl who did cut the pieces to large. Luckily, I planned a head for that to happen and still had plenty for all. Over all, I would highly recommend them. more

I was very pleased Voila and couldn't have had a better experience. Planning the meal was easy and Voila was able to suggest a couple of things that were in season to use for the meal. From start to finish the wedding day went off without any problems. The food was FANTASTIC!!!! :) more

Thank you Voila for making our wedding day the best ever. We can not thank you enough for you knowledge, experience, and thoroughness in thinking thru all the details needed to cater our wedding. You promised nothing more than you could accomplish on our budget and you executed exactly as we planned. I would reccommend Voila Catering without hesitation. The food was the best catered food possible. the planning was complete, and the execution flawless. more

Before any more time passed, my wife and I want to register our enduring gratitude to Jonathan and Voila Catering. In addition to serving superb food that continues to garner comments from our guests six months later, their crew showed detail-oriented excellence and can-do attitude, even in conditions of extreme difficulty. Ours was an outdoor wedding in June that turned cold and rainy; what could have been a disaster ended up a success, and I give the bulk of the credit for that to Jonathan and Voila. Despite stressful conditions, they went above and beyond to keep things running smoothly, so that the weather remained secondary. It was like having the catering equivalent of The A-Team on your side. more

I would strongly urge anyone 12/21/2011

I would strongly urge anyone considering to hire this caterer for their event. Unless you want a dictator and not a caterer then you will be okay with hiring this caterer. A caterer is supposed to do just that; cater & adhere to your wishes & desires, not respond with a snide response to your visions & request. While the food this outfit produces is indisputably delicious and I think they have an amazing kitchen staff who are passionate about their end product, the front line of their operation is over shadowed by a control Nazi. This was my first time hiring a caterer and therefor at first I thought I was in the wrong just assuming that this is how the game goes, having certain ideals and hopes, then after consulting with several people they reassured me that this is not proper customer service and that I would be best to go elsewhere and that is exactly what I did and never looked back! Even fore-fitting a substantial deposit, it was worth it in the end! more

best part of my wedding 11/8/2011

I couldnt have asked for better caterers.... my wedding was on september 6,2011 and I am still getting compliments from people on my catering. We are both vegetarians and got so many guest who wanted meat, that is, until they got thier plate of food. everyone went back for seconds and there was no need for meet with food that good. The staff and food were exceptional and I was taken care of like a princess. I cant express how happy i was with voila. Worth every penny!!!!! more

I would put 10 stars if I could! 9/14/2010

My fiance and I only met with one caterer before our wedding (Voila!) and we knew immediately we wanted them. We were having a smaller event and did not have a wedding coordinator, Jonathon helped out so much with planning (layout, time line, etc). On the day of, Jonathon and his team took care of all our setup an breakdown, and saved my friends and family (and me!) a lot of stress. We opted for a Family Style service (instead of buffet) and it was perfect. Our wedding was just a few weeks ago and our guests are still talking about how amazing the food was. Thank you so much Voila for keeping me cool, calm and collected on our Big Day! The food was out of this world! more

Amazing Wedding Caterers! 8/18/2010

I can't say enough wonderful things about everyone at Voila Catering. They took care of everything down to the last detail and the execution was flawless. My fiance and I didn't need to worry about anything at all. The food options that they had available were not only amazingly delicious, but incredibly varied. Plus, they were able to work with us on a catering set up that would work with our tight budget, all while maintaining a level of class and elegance that ensured our wedding would be everything that we dreamed of. A PERFECT DAY 8/17/2010

We were married and had our reception at Elk Cove VIneyards on June 12, 2010. Voila Catering owner Jonathan, Chef Tamara, our wedding coordinator Melissa and thier crew helped make all our dreams of a perfect wedding come true! Throughout the 6 month process, Jonathan was there to help with the various stages of planning our event. His professionalism, along with his thouroughness, attention to detail, and calm nature helped me remain at ease during what can be a very stressful time for a bride. Melissa, our day of event coordinator made sure that our day was executed perfectly and was truly a blessing to have on our special day! Not to mention, the food Chef Tamara served was ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS and was all made to order fresh onsite at our reception. Its amazing how many of our guests are still talking about how delicious and gorgeous the food was. Voila catering comes highly recommended from us as we feel so blessed to have been so lucky to of had them cater and coordinate our DREAM WEDDING...what a perfect day!!! Thanks again Voila!!! more

Outstanding in every way 7/23/2010

Voila catered our wedding this month. Jonathan and Chef Tamara were wonderful to work with all through the planning stages, and delivered in a huge way on our big day. Jonathan's spreadsheets are so professional and ACCURATE it's amazing... our final cost, accounting for actual wine consumption which had been estimated in advance, was less than $25 difference! Their years of experience and attention to detail really show. There were no surprises. They promised food that would be remembered, and delivered 110% -- our guests are still RAVING about the family-style, sit-down dinner. In the nervous moments before the ceremony began, Jonathan offered us each a glass of wine -- a great example of his service all along: always watching out for us, and knowing the perfect thing that was needed, and offering gentle, spot-on suggestions when we were dazed and confused by it all. We will be enthusiastically recommending Voila to everyone we know. Pros: delicious, seasonal, creative food; easy to work with Cons: NONE -- professional & excellent in every way more

Perfect wedding and reception 4/3/2010

Voila catered and supplied linens for my small wedding at Leach Botanical Gardens. Jonathan was a joy to work with and helped me make revisions to the plan by email and phone. We ended up with a delicious organic vegetarian menu that pleased even the most dedicated meat-eaters--everyone thought it was delicious! I really appreciate Jonathan's aesthetics and event management. He ran everything smoothly and unobtrusively; I was able to actually enjoy myself without worrying about who was doing what and when. I definitely recommend Voila for catering and event planning for anyone. Pros: Professional, delicious food, great event management Cons: Sometimes hard to reach by email more

Yummy Open House 1/24/2010

I went to the Voila Open House last week at their commercial kitchen and was amazed at the food. The scallops were cooked to order and plated just like a restaurant. Loved my first time for wild boar and the creme brullees were heavenly. Looking forward to the occasion when I can use them for my own event! Pros: The Chefs make the food right there! more

Great Catering Company 9/10/2009

Great caterer when you need a special event. Not for everyday lunches or the superbowl party. Voila Catered my wedding in my backyard this summer. They planned and managed all the rentals, developed a gourmet menu that impressed by foodie friends and served some great drinks at the bar. They are no-nonsense, trustworthy, and will tell you the truth even if you don't want to hear it. We had a GREAT party!!! Not your normal caterer! This company refuses to do the normal party trays of cubed cheese and out of season fruit. Look to Voila Catering for delicate hors d'ouevres made on-site by a real chef and hot out of the oven dinners! Pros: Amazing food! Cons: Does not do ""normal"" catered foods more

Great Caterer, for your guest's sake, don't go anywhere else! 3/21/2008

I had Voila cater an event several months ago and really liked their food. It was not until I attended another event last week put on by an organization that I belong to that I really appreciated their company. Unlike the recient experience, Voila Catering was wonderful. Their food was fresh and fun, not like the bar food served by this other ""gourmet"" company. Why do people want cheap deep fried frozen food when they can have real food made right before you by a chef? more

Really Great Food 1/24/2008

I used Voila Catering for a party and it was a brilliant success. Their event planner helped me with everything from the right rentals, to the right amount of food, to having just the appropriate amount of servers at the event. And the FOOD was GREAT. Sometime caterered food is just so-so.. but their food was superior restaurant quality. I have never had such great catered food. The guests loved watching the chef make the food at the event. It was like having free entertainment for my foodie friends. Pros: Food, Food, Food... and great service staff and planning help more

Voila Catering has provided some of the best food that my company has ever had the joy of experiencing. Jonathan Goodrow the owner is friendly, and knowledgeable. Patrick and Colleen were very professional, and kind. And the food was absolutely out of this world. The lemon caper chicken breasts were moist with just the right amount of tang. The roasted garlic Parmesan red potatoes were addictive, and the butternut squash hazelnut lasagna disappeared so fast, it was almost like someone put an invisibility cloak over it. They came back right on time to clean. The prices are very reasonable for the remarkable gourmet food! And this was just lunch. Highly, highly recommended! Pros: The service, the food, everything!
