This is a quintessential Detroit watering hole stuck right in the middle of historic Eastern Market. It's also now at the epicenter of the Detroit Lions/Ford Field juggernaut. Football fans walking into Vivio's out of curiosity (or in desperate need of a bathroom after a morning of tail-gating), will find a rare mix of locals, bohos, old-timers, hipsters, slumming yuppies and boozy intelligentsia rubbing elbows at the bar. The drinks flow, the food is far better than you might expect and the service is, by far, the best in the city. With an upstairs bar opening soon, Vivio's will soon be able to accomodate twice the crowd. All the better for us.
Pros: Great staff, Great regulars
