"Made in China"...Watch out 10/3/2008

I bought about $300 in clothes there and then when I got home, I realized everything was "made in china." So, they take a jacket that was made for 50 cents in China and sell it for $100 bucks. Urban Outfitters is the same way, everything "made in China" - Watch out. I'm Going to go to a real thrift store next time, or American Apparel where evertything is actually made in the U.S. more

Villians 5/19/2006

Villains, which if I remember correctly opened up in the space of one of the Haight's last record shops not called Amoeba, was (in my mind) a final, resounding end to the Haight that was, and a new beginning to the Haight that is – being, a pseudo-historical, trendy strip mall that can support stores that push $150 jeans and the like. For those who live for $150 pairs of (insert name brand here) jeans, this the place to go. $150 jean Valhalla. Raver central. Jackets that come with extra pockets for your cell, your pager, your PDA, your laptop, your vial of E, your girlfriend's cell, your iPod, your backup iPod, your oversized headphones, keys to your Hummer, and yo’ mama. I heard they were thinking of opening shop in the Mission next to Amnesia, but luckily 826 is expanding to that spot instead. Let's hope they stay put where they are for as long as possible. more

Great find nice collection 10/18/2005

Vault showcases the best of local design with Lemon Twist and Nice Collective for men and women. In addition to a sizable stock of Levi's Red, Fornarina and Miss Sixty, a small selection of shoes and accessories are available. Self-proclaimed label junkies delight in Gucci sunglasses and all things Diesel. And for those with deep pockets, the sales staff is in turn, quite delightful. But don't expect the same treatment if you don't radiate a moneyed look, as commission-hungry employees won't turn on the charm for just anyone. more

great clothing 8/19/2005

This store offers a great jeans and t-shirts selection for men as well as women. The style is a little retro. prices are average. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They also have shoes, hats and accessories. It is located in the hippie district of San Francisco, a great place for shopping. This store has a web site but i would recommand it, what they show on their website does not really reflect their nice t shirts collection. more

great clothes 8/19/2005

Villians on Haight is a great clothing store but I wish things were cheaper so I could actually buy stuff there! They have all the cool name brands like 7 and COH jeans as well as Paul Frank gear, cool local SF tees, and Havianias flip flops (like the celebs wear). I love their adjoining shoe store next door and their other store across the street, though the latter is even pricier than the original. more
