My west side neighborhood is full of family owned and operated restaurants, which can be hit or miss. Victorio's falls in the middle of the road category. The food is always good - not great and never awful, but always consistent. I usually hit the family owned circuit when I'm looking for a hearty breakfast at a good price, and Victorio's is good for this. Usually a good daily special or two (some of which will make you scratch your head in wonder at the oddity of the dish), but overall a good value for the money.
