Victoria's Flowers

Molly Bee's has done the flowers for both of my children's weddings. She accepted their requests, one of which was very challenging, and she was thrilled to accept the challenge. Everyone at both weddings commented on the beautiful flowers, color contrasts,uniqueness of design, etc. She also worked closely with the ""cake person"" to supply flowers for both cakes. I have also used her for funeral arrangements, and she went above and beyond to see that what we requested was honored, and travelled some distance as well. Molly Bee's was a disappointment. Martha was recommended by a close friend who used MB's for their wedding, the prices seemed reasonable, so I went with her. In our first meeting she was very opposed on the colors and ideas I had, despite the pictures I had brought from a famous bridal magazine, and incessantly interrupted with her own ideas. Eventually, with much persistence, Martha agreed to duplicate the pictures. We met 10 months prior to the wedding in order to secure the date, Martha wrote our name down, filled out a wedding sheet with what we ordered and asked us to contact her a few months before in order to review everything. I called her 3 months before the wedding, and we were no longer on the books. She agreed to do the wedding, since nothing else was booked, however it was a stressful conversation. The wedding day arrived and the bridesmaids bouquets were nothing what i described. Martha had recommended orange flowers, which I did not want, I asked for merlot colored calla liliies. The bouquets were completely orange. Incidentally, the orange flowers used were"" in season"", hence cheaper, for Martha to buy. . I paid for a dozen calla lillies on either side of my church's altar--she put 10 on each side, and charged me for the 2 dozen. The pew bows were cheap and horribly done, Martha was upset that I provided the tulle that I bought at a discount store (REVCO). The largest disappointment was the reception centerpieces. My reception vendor told me Martha planned on leaving them at the door of the venue, instead of setting them up on the table, however, my vendor insisted that was not her job. I asked for full 2 dozen merlot mini calla lillies on each of my 10 tables. I got 8 loosely place in each vase. It was pathetic. The vases looked empty. MB's is about being paid for minimal work and any requests are at Marha's discretion. Think twice about going to this store for any major event. more

Martha at Molly Bee's did a fabulous job on the flowers for my May 2007 wedding. I met with her for a consultaion and we went over what I was looking for in my flowers. I had brought pictures I had cut out from magazines which she found very helpful--she could really get a sense of my style. I told her I wanted peonies, roses, freesia, stefanotis, tulips, lisiantus, hydrangea, etc and let her know the colors (pale pink for bridesmaids and table arrangements, white with some pale pink for my bouquet) and she went with it. Her initial estimate was a little high, so I asked her to see if she could lower it by substituting some different types of flowers and she was able to. She also was okay with my idea of using less expensive flowers at the church (since no one can see the details up on the altar). Overall, I would very highly recommend Martha for any floral needs. She put together a beautiful vase arrangement for my shower as well. Pros: does a beautiful job with only a little direction more

I cold called Molly Bee's in search of a floral arrangement for a retirement dinner. I gave them vague general parameters as to what I was looking for, and they really ran with it. Usually I am hesitant to order flowers without seeing the floral shop first. When I arrived at the dinner, I realized that all of my fears were unfounded: the flowers were fresh, and the arrangement was tastefully done. Plus, they stayed within my budget constraints.
