Value Village on Gessner is by far the best thrift store I've found in Houston. The prices on clothing is unbelievably low. I have found high quality, gently used (or even UNUSED) skirts, shirts, jeans, maternity clothing, etc. for literally 75 cents, $1, $2 or $3. I bought a ""name brand"" pair of shoes for only $4 and it looked like they had never been worn.\r
They have housewares, clothing, books, toys, draperies, sheets, towels and TONS of baby clothes. I furnished my daughter's entire newborn wardrobe from Value Village and only paid about $30. Blankets, socks, bibs, crib sheets, hats, onesies, clothes, gowns, outfits, you name it!\r
Check back frequently if you don't see what you need/want; overturn is quick. Each day they offer a different item for 50% off (such as one day, all women's clothes 50% off, the next day, all toys 50% off, etc.) I have never left empty-handed.
