Fabulous Avian Vet Harrington 10/7/2013

My female African Grey has been egg-bound and suffers from fatty liver disease. Dr. Blake Harrington is exceptional in treating my medically fragile grey and takes the time to explain the situation and options with me. Additionally, my male African Grey became dehydrated. Dr. Harrington's eyes sparkle when a bird is in his care even one who wants to bite and performs pterodactyl like screams. His adoration and respect for the avian population and their care is evident and there is no one else I trust with my parrots as much as he and the Valley Animal Hospital. They are patient with me as well. more

I brought my cockatiel Donald to them twice as an emergency for broken blood feathers. They are incredible. They took him right in and kept me updated on his condition. I would recommend them to anyone. They are so nice, understanding, and professional. more

Most compassionate vet in town 8/13/2010

I saw Dr. L when he was at Valley years ago. But he just opened his own practice by the Trader Joes at Campbell and River and I just saw him a few days ago. Still the best vet ever hands down. more

AVOID Valley Animal Hospital 6/23/2009

Up until June 19th, i would have recommended valley, Now after having used valley since 1974 I will find another vet, not enough room here to say why. more

BAD EXPERIENCE!! 3/16/2009

I would not recommend this vet. I took my cat into this vet for surgery and the vet didn't think to talk with me about what could happen when she opened him up and she ended up calling me while my cat was open on the table and pressuring me to make a decision, then changing her mind, and then changing her mind again-- all while my cat was cut open and on the operating table!! Completely unprofessional, and then she tried to refuse to give me my cat back, even though I had already arranged a payment plan with their vet administrator!! RIDICULOUS!! DO NOT TRUST THIS VET, specifically Dr. Alexis Moreno. more

Lots of Services for All Kinds of Animals 7/8/2008

I have taken birds to VAH and had mostly great things to say. I have been able to hold my birds for exams and the vets worked with me in terms of not destroying my training or relationship with my pet. So for birds I think they are a great option for Tucson. But I have had some friends with cats who had vets offering more than the cat needed. For example an expensive surgery where another vet was able to just put the cat on meds. So I think as always -- with big, expensive procedures -- a second opinion is great. But I think for birds -- they are one of the best. more

Veterinarian 12/29/2006

Dr. Moffett has been my dog's vet for several years and you couldn't pay me to switch. She is very compassionate, very smart and makes the extra effort when other vets made it seem hopeless. She is great at figuring out several approaches to healing whatever ails my dogs-from coughs to infected pads. Thanks to her early diagonsis of valley fever, my first dog recovered and is still healthy 9 years later. I recommend Dr. Moffett to anyone who loves their pet (dog OR cat) and wants the best care possible. Pros: Caring, smart, tenacious Cons: none more

Jody Moffett DVM -- An Absolutely Wonderful Vet 9/25/2006

There were 2 reviews of Jody Moffett DVM when I first ""researched"" her, and after having brought both my cats to her, I EMPHATICALLY AGREE with those first two. She cares about my cats and not only how they are doing and feeling, but also how I am doing and feeling about them and their health situations. I cannot say strongly enough how lucky I feel to have found this vet purely by luck of the draw. She makes time for appointments. She goes out of her way to be helpful and thoughtful. Jody Moffett also knows her stuff; she is a top-notch vet. Pros: My cats and I were treated by Jody Moffett with nothing but respect and care. Vet is on bus line. Can get prescriptions directly. Cons: One office worker was rude & disrespectful; Dr Moffett immediately took care of the situation. more

Best Vet in Tucson 9/2/2006

Dr. Moffett is by far one of the best vets you could ever hope to have caring for your pets. She sincerely displays concerne and compassion for your pets. She proves it by doing things like ""sqeezing"" you in for a non-existant appointment on her lunch break or by letting you know you can always contact her even when she isn't on call or on duty. And how many vets send you personal notes when your special pet went to heaven. I could go on, but I rest assured that all of my pets are in the best of hands with Dr. Jody Moffett. You will be too. more

They were very kind in my time of need. When my dog got sick and subsequently died they even sent me card afterwards expressing their sorrow for the loss of my dog. They made this period much easier for me by dealing with the details concerning what to next more

I highly recommend this place. I was very impressed by the services I received. I took my 2 puppies in to be treated as I was very surprised by the high quality work and the affordability of the services received. The staff there is very nice and always has a smile on their face and are eager and very happy to help you. My dogs love to go to their doctor's appointments now as it has become a very enjoyable experience. Thank you. You have made this task very enjoyable. Keep up the great work. Highly recommended. 5 star rating. Two thumbs way up. Way to go. Thanks again. more
