Only vet able to help my kitten! 2/21/2011

I have a kitten I rescued at 8 weeks of age who had been on 8 different antibiotics, 2 anti fungal meds and probiotics and anti-diarrhea meds over 6 months and never showed improvement. She was a ball of mucus, and blood and it broke my heart. I was very impressed with Dr. Leung she is very caring and explains everything clearly. It turns out after some tests and an exploratory surgery she has a couple deformity's that has caused this and put her on antibiotics that have worked wonders! She may never be normal and get infections easy but she saved my baby from possible euth. due to being chronically ill with no improvement.I would recommend her to everyone! more

Dr. Scott Jackson of VCA Midpark should be commended for his dedication to individuals and their animals. His kindness and consideration for all aspects of your pets care is remarkable. I have gone to Dr. Jackson for 15+ years and have worked with him and his staff on a regular basis. Currently, I have six dogs all seen by VCA Midpark and Dr. Jackson. He listens to you, takes his time during exams, reviews each patient individually and addresses their needs based on your lifestyle, ability to pay and ultimately what you feel is comfortable and right for your animal. He never pushes unwanted/unnecessary services upon you. Dr. Jackson will even take time out of his busy patient schedule to stop and speak with you when necessary (without an appointment for example). This includes calling you promptly back when messages are left or questions are asked. He makes it his priority to address whatever concerns or issues you may be dealing with relative to your pet. I have always taken my dogs to see Dr Jackson at Midpark Animal Hospital and have always enjoyed excellent care. I have had a dog with epilepsy, cancer, and CCL problems. On all occasions, Dr Jackson identified the issues and made wonderful referrals. He has always treated my animals with the upmost care. more

Dr. and staff were excellent! 1/14/2009

Dr. Kinscher and staff treated my cat with the utmost respect and care. Her knowledge and expertise alleviated my pets suffering and enabled me to make the best possible decisions regarding treatment. Dr. and staff were extremely accommodating, caring, patient, and displayed a humanistic side that often goes unnoticed in such a sterile environment. more

Dr. Scott Jackson has been disciplined by the Ohio Veterinary Medical Licensing Board. Go to this link http://www.ovmlb.ohio.gov/ and click licensing info. You will see that Dr. Jackson has been disciplined.\r \r VCA was also taken to court by the Ohio Veterinary Medical Licensing Board, for using Dr. Jackson to "illegally employ and staff veterinary facilities." Expensive but Worth It 8/4/2008

I've been going there for many years. They are expensive but are full-service, are sparkling clean, have on-site grooming & boarding, and everyone there is top-drawer. The ladies in front are friendly, courteous and kind. The techs are competent and courteous. Medical Director Dr. Scott Jackson is one-of-a-kind; I've trusted him for many years and recommend him very, very highly. He not only "knows his stuff" but is a genuinely wonderful person with a very good heart. more

Most unorganized circus of a vet's office 3/28/2008

Every appointment I had they were 1/2 hour to an hour behing. I received several mail notices that were either outdated or inaccurate. However the office still schedule me an appointment wasting my time only to find out there was nothing that my dog needed. Denied 800petmeds request for heartworm refill indicating he needed a bloodtest, however, not true. The office staff is not personalable, barely knowledgable and the place is always out of the products your pet needs. Pros: Location Cons: Service more

Love this place! 3/5/2008

We have been bringing our furry son's here for a very long time and I wouldn't go anywhere else. They fit me in when necessary in an emergency. They are extremely caring and always spend time with us when we are there. I have had to put 2 of our furry son's down due to age and they were right there for us. I can not say enough about the doctor's and staff here at Mid park. To me, they are the best! more

Please don't take your fur kids here!! 5/22/2007

My family has used them for 20+ years, even though they are very expensive. I have had 2 dogs with epilepsy, both were treated there and both died within a short period of time. My last dog was on a combo of medicines to stop seizures..and could not walk! The vet never asked for me to bring her in, and eventually told me to stop the phenobarb cold turkey. I did so, and found out later on that you should NEVER do that..as it can lead to cluster seizures and death...and that is exactly what happened. Tons of $'s, no help, and my dog died. And after 20+ years of business, you'd think they would bill me or take payments...right? WRONG. All the loyalty I had shown, and they were unwilling to help so I could afford better treatment/tests and pay a little at a time. Guess what, we have changed vets, are very happy now. All I got was money spent that did no good and a sympathy card. more

Are not willing to accomodate even emergencies 10/19/2006

My sister has used VCA Midpark as her primary vet for a few years and never had a problem, however, we found out that that was because she had never had a pet emergency. When her dog injured his paw, she called them to see about trying to fit her in but they told her they couldn't because they were all booked up for the next couple of days. Obviously, this was unacceptable so we called a different vet, one she hadn't used at all before, and they more than happily fit her in between appointments. She has since switched to the other vet as their primary vet. more

They don't care about you or your pet. We took our dog there for 11 years and when the time came where we had to put her to sleep, they were too busy to care. The asked the wrong questions when we first set up the appt. and realized they had to postpone moments before the procedure was going to be performed. We had already prepared our children and did not want to take our pet back home. They left us in an office with our dog for 20 min without checking on how we wanted to proceed. They forced us to call around and look for a kennel that would house the dog for a few days (We had to wait 3 days because of a quarantine period). When we decided to have the procedure done at a more caring pet hospital (Big Creek), they were too busy to send our dog's records to the new facility, eventhough I requested them 3 days prior. They made us wait again! They caused us untold heartache and anger. THEY DO NOT CARE! Pros: None that I can think of. Cons: THEY ARE TOO BUSY TO CARE ABOUT YOU OR YOUR PET. more

The worst experiance possible!!! Do Not Take a beloved pet there! 8/7/2006

I am writing this on the day that I will most likely be putting my best friend to sleep. My dog Bailey was taken to Midpark Hospital about 4 weeks ago for a limp she was having. After being examined, the doctor said it was a torn shoulder muscle and prescribed some pain meds for her. She seemed to make a recovery for the next 5 days until she had a stroke! This was a Saturday afternoon around 12:15. I called Midpark immediately informing them of my dog's grave condition, to which I was told to take her to an emergancy room because they close in an hour and couldn't see her. This was undesrtandable but not what I wanted to hear. After being stablized, she would be sent home to have a follow up at Midaprk on Monday. This we did and after a full examination we were told that hopefully it was just an instance out of our control and that she would make a full recovery. Well, this was not the case at all because last Tuesday, she began to slied towards the worst again. So my wife rushed her more

Great animal care! 11/24/2005

This is a great vet to take your animals to. We have been taking ours for years and have never been disappointed. When we had to have our dog euthanized they were very caring and helpful The vet even had tears in her eyes. I would never take my pets anywhere else for care. It is clean and everyone is very friendly. You can also board your pets their and have them groomed. more
