You get what you pay for! I bought a fridge from them and it would not stay cold or make ice. I called and they told me to adjust the temperature control knobs, which I did. After a week of it still not getting cold enough, I called again and they sent Albert (their repairman) over who pushed it away from the wall and looked at it for 10-15 minutes (without removing anything) before telling me it was just wrong temperature settings. He set both knobs at the middle - 5- and told me to give it 24 hours. After 24 hours it did begin making ice. About a month later it got to the point where it would not keep food frozen again. So I started trying every combination of the knobs I could, waiting a day or two in between each one. I finally got fed up after a couple of months (I know I should have called sooner) before I decided to call another local repair service (Ballard Home Services) who sent someone quickly. Their repairman, Joseph, pushed the fridge away from the wall and proceeded to take the back apart. Within 15 minutes he said it was either a bad compressor relay or the compressor was going out. He removed the relay, showed me it rattled (was faulty) and replaced it. The following week we noticed the fridge was cooler but it still wouldn't make ice or keep food frozen so we called Joseph back out. He spent another 15-20 minutes looking and took apart the inside of the freezer before telling us the compressor was bad. I called Uzico and told them and they refused to do ANYTHING because the fridge was past its 60 day warranty. When I explained that I has called well inside its 60 day warranty (two weeks after I bought it) and I was told nothing was wrong, they proceeded to tell me ""too bad, it is outside of the warranty now"". How's that for customer service and satisfaction?
