I've eaten ay many mexican restaurants, and by far this one may be the worst food I have ever eaten!!! They served tomato sauce with there burittos. How can anyone rank this...

In Mexico, they call it ""MIERDA."" It's 10/12/2011

In Mexico, they call it ""MIERDA."" It's not food, it's slop that they dish out to gringos who will horse down any crap and call it ethnic. more

Best Food on the Face of the Planet 11/11/2010

This is the best food on the face of the planet! Have the rainbow trout or the salmon. It's seasoned and cooked perfectly and served on a hot bed of onions and peppers along with a second plate of delicious carrot salsa, pico de gallo, beans, sour cream, guacamole, etc. In addition, the service is better than any restaurant in the city! Oh yea.. the best margarita anywhere. I LOVE THIS PLACE! more

Great Authentic Mexican Food 10/23/2009

My wife and I have been going here for years. The food is always consistently delicious and an amazing value for the price! They make a really good Chili Relleno and the Burito Verde is just delicious as are many other dishes. The staff is friendly and orders arrive at your table super fast even when they are extremely busy. They also make a terrific margarita on the rocks. Anyone who doesn?t like this place would probably rather eat something that wasn?t authentic or perhaps something bland? like a chain restaurant such as Cancun. They understand how to season food and have the proper amount of heat. We are big fans of good local restaurants. This is one of our favorites for the value. Pros: Great Food, Great Margaritas, Efficient Staff Cons: Parking more

Dog Food. 7/20/2009

We went, saw, ate some of the food that literally looked like dog food, paid, then left. Pros: None. Cons: They only like you at the end ...when they want a tip. more

Best place for quick & delicious food 5/25/2009

We have been going here for about 14 years & have never had a bad experience. The food is hot & cooked quickly. The servers are so nice. The guys are cute, too! My son loves their cheese dip & my husband & I love the beef fajitas. If we arrive early we can be seated, order, eat & go in 45 minutes! It's a great family place & when my parents come in town it's their favorite, too! Also, if it is crowded, the wait is never too long. Pros: friendly service, delicious food & fast! Cons: parking more

Best place to eat in Bellevue 3/14/2009

My fiance and I moved to Bellevue a year ago from Franklin, and were disappointed to leave all of our favorite restaurants a 20 minute commute away. Our favorite Mexican place used to be ""Nachos"", but after trying US Border Cantina, we are hooked! Their chile rellanos are genuinely the best I've EVER had in my life- and I've been to Mexico several times. I can't speak on the authenticity of it like others have commented on, but I know it is owned by the people than run it, and whenever we have out of towners looking for great Mexican, this is the place we go- and everyone loves it. Their chicken tacos are also to die for, and their salsa is the best in the WORLD. THAT definitely tastes authentic- not too thick or too sweet, and a nice peppery fresh taste. Whenever we get take out, we ask for extras, and whenever we eat their, we clean them out!! Also- the price CANNOT be beat! For dinner for two, we easily get out under $20 and FULL! For lunch, the prices are even better, and a $15 tab is the norm! Don't miss this jewel, and don't listen to the haters... Maybe they're too used to Taco Bell to appreciate a real, great Mexican dinner! Pros: Amazing food, great friendly staff, amazing salsa and CHEAP! Cons: not a ton of parking more

Love, Love, Love 4/18/2008

Despite a couple of negative comments below I decided to try this place since I just moved to Bellevue. I've eaten there four or five times now. I try to always order different things, and I've enjoyed it all!! The servers are always so friendly and the service is so quick! I highly recommend trying this place out. The food, margaritas, and service is wonderful! Pros: Food, Margaritas, and Friendly Servers Cons: No cons at all!!! more

Why do people eat here? 10/5/2007

I just had my first and last meal at the 'Cantina. The service was ok, but the food may be the worst I've ever had at a mexican place. I really don't know why someone would eat here. I would be embarrassed to serve such poor food. Pros: outside patio Cons: really bad food more

Worst Food Ever 10/5/2007

Honestly it may have been the worst meal I have EVER had out at a restaurant. They used Velveeta type cheese to make my cheese enchiladas. The tortillas were terrible. I bet the good reviews are made by the owners. I cannot imagine why anyone would ever eat there. You are better off getting microwave Mexican food from the supermarket. The price was okay, but the portions were really small for a Mexican restaurant. Go ANYWHERE else. The service was fine. They had okay chips and salsa . Cons: horrible food. more

Number one Mexican Place 5/23/2006

This is a great little addition to Bellevue. The salsa is actually hot, instead of that stewed tomato junk that everybody else serves. No wrong food choices. Great family oriented restaurant where people seem to be regulars. The parking and prices are perfect. I can always depend on the border to have a great friendly waitstaff and quick service. This will forever be my staple for mexican. Pros: Salsa, Margaritas, Relaxed more

Always great! 2/11/2005

I have never been disappointed by US Border Cantina. The service is quick and good, and the food is fantastic! Love the chile relleno. And the salsa is exactly like the kind my college roommate (from Mexico City) used to make from scratch. You can't go wrong here! more

there are better 9/10/2004

Honestly I was very disappointed in this restaurant. I had the chicken quesadilla which was pretty bland and the salsa for the chips was very spicy and just really didnt taste like ""normal"" salsa. Also the prices were not as cheap as other similar, (and better!) Mexican places. I wont be going back, I think I will stick with the Cancun Mexican Restaurant down the street. Pros: Fast service, Good for families Cons: , parking, noisy more

DOG FOOD 11/3/2003

I've eaten ay many mexican restaurants, and by far this one may be the worst food I have ever eaten!!! They served tomato sauce with there burittos. How can anyone rank this restaurant in the top 100 of Nashville,...If so it just show how bad the Mexican food really is... Unsatisfied Customer Pros: none Cons: bad food more

Knock you on your butt Margaritas 1/21/2003

The food is great ... the service is IMHO is wonderful (but of course they know me by name here). This is also my sons favorite place. He is three. But for those who are looking for a fabulous margarita this is the place for you. Get it on the rocks and you can't go wrong. They do have different bartenders and the best is a young man who I know works Wed-Fri (I'm not sure about Sat.). more

Not California but... 7/25/2002

This is the closest to real Mexican food I have found since moving to TN. Just like the places back home, you get good food at reasonable prices. I would recommend the Cantina to anyone who wants to eat nice, mild Mexican food and not that commercial stuff at the more upscale places. more
