Uptown is where it's at 8/6/2006

I enjoy Uptown. Delicious mixed drinks, nice food, and the service is attentive without being Upper Eastside obnoxious. They have outside seating, or bar service in addition to their booths and sit down areas. I didn't know about their 1/2 price martinis, will definitely have to take advantage of that! A good place for a nightcap, or a nice way to start a date. more

Nice bar and excellent brunch! 9/20/2005

I love Sunday brunch at uptown. For $14.95 (best price in the area that I've found), you get your choice of coffee and a mimosa or bellini or juice and an excellent choice of yummy things to eat. I especially recommend the banana-stuffed french toast. It is very tasty. The service is sometimes not great, even when they're not busy. But still, I'd go back! more

Wednesday nights rock here. Half price martinis are so important to find in a city like New York. And if you can't make it out Wednesday evenings, you can rely on Tuesday's half price bottles of wine or every evening's happy hours. This is a restaurant and bar for relaxing after a hard day's work. And don't forget the sweets...the desserts are mouthwatering. more
