UT bookstore 4/16/2006

The University Co-op is a good place to buy textbooks when you need them quick. Their prices are much higher than if you were to buy them somewhere online, and they often offer you significantly less for the books when you go to sell them again. I like that they have a clinique counter within the store and offer rebates at the end of the year which helps ease the pain of buying textbooks. more

I shoped at the coop both as a student at UT and as a graduate. The coop has everything that one needs to get an education at UT. Most of the books are available before classes start. The coop also has a great selection of tshirts, posters, and other UT stuff. Great place. more

Official university bookstore 8/18/2005

It is the official university bookstore, when the study semester begins, it is very convenient to find the textbook in university co-op, they had the class name and number and textbook listed on the shelf. But the book price is very expensive, you can check the book and buy it online to get a cheaper price. And they also carry clothes, if you are a student here, it is a good idea to get one. more

Check online first! 8/18/2005

While I was at UT, I bought almost every book at the University Co-op. The prices were exorbitant, but I told myself to remember the end-of-year rebate and to save those receipts. Even though the rebate was not that great of an amount, at least I got something back. At the time, it was not very popular to check for books online. So if I had to do it over again, I would check the internet first. The other thing I hated about this place is that they wanted to give you 10 cents for the book at the end of the year even though they would sell it for near regular price to other students. I felt really ripped off! more

Stuck with it 8/16/2005

This is UT Austin's only real campus bookstore. These people charge students an arm and a leg because they know besides buying the books online there is no other choice. Even though they offer a 10% rebate to students, their prices are still outrageous. And they also sell a plethota of UT apparel for way more than it is worth. But hey, if you want Official UT apparel, this one of the only places besides the UT stores to get it. more

Right on ACC Campus 8/9/2005

The Riverside ACC Campus University Co-Op bookstore had all of the books I needed in stock. They sold the basic supplies I needed for a decent price too. It was convenient to get everything in one place, and convenient to pick up extra supplies between classes. The students who worked there were very knowledgeable in what they had and where it was stocked. more
