Known for it's football team, as well as academic excellence! 12/4/2005

Everyone in Oklahoma knows about OU's fantastic football team, everywhere you go, you see the big red flags! But unless you've attended their school, or known someone who has, you may be missing some of the most important things OU has to offer. First, there is the price. OU has many kinds of student grants. loans and scholarships available, regardless of your situation. They have well trained counselors available to help you find all the funding available for you to help you pay for your college expenses. You can get help, not only with your tuition, but with your books, and even living expenses as well. Second, OU offers many different learning options, with campuses in several areas. They offer so many different degrees, you are sure to find the one that interests you. They also have counselors available to help you decide which career would best suit your personality and needs. One of my favorite things is that they cater to all different kinds of students. Of course, they welcome all different social classes and heritages, but they also welcome older students, who have decided to return to school to further their knowledge and careers, or even start on a new career path. Whatever your age, income level, education level and desires, they have trained staff available to meet your needs and help you in your dream to get that college degree! more

Good school. 11/28/2005

The University of Oklahoma is located smack dab in the middle of Norman, Oklahoma, USA. It is a really gorgeous campus, but the campus is huge. If you have a class in the Phys. Sci. center and then one in Dale Hall 15 minutes later, you will most likely be late unless you run. About 30,000 people go to OU. Thats alot. Like alot of people. I would reccommend going here for your basics and then moving on tto a smaller university once you've had your fill of the college experience. Also, great food on campus, so get a meal plan, even if you're upper classmen. more

very good for the price 11/9/2005

University of Oklahoma is the one of the two biggest universities in the state of Oklahoma along with Oklahoma State University. It does have similar characteristics to those of Oklahoma State University. Relatively cheap tuition, big campus full of opportunities in the areas of sport, arts, etc but relatively poorer in the area of science I would say. The main difference that I had observed is the approval process to graduate school. While both universities have similar qualities, university of oklahoma requires a lot more sophisticated students at first. In example they mostly require Gre and Gre subject test along with other tests and qualifications. They announce this on their website but strangely enough when they cannot find people meeting those requirements, they lower their requirements significantly without announcing it via their website. more
