My past dentist no longer accepted the dental insurance I had. I recently moved to the city, but would go back to the suburbs to see my dentist. This time, I decided to go with a city dentist per convenience. So I made the appointment a month in advance and asked the usual questions (hygentist, etc). They did not have Saturday hours. I took a day off as I had to run a few other errands. When I arrived, I was one of two patients there in the waiting room. The room was relatively clean and neat. I filled out the paperwork. I was shocked to learn that I would not be getting a cleaning. Instead, I would get the xrays and a exam with the dentist/hygentist first to determine the ""level of cleaning"". I was mad. No one told me on the phone, I had to come in for two appointments. In my past experience with dentist over the years, that I never had to come in twice just to get a cleaning. Cavities or dental work, yes. But not another appointment for the cleaning. I asked the office manager, if I can get the cleaning right after the exam. She said they were booked all day. At the end of the appointment, the dentist recommended a level 2 cleaning and a crown. I did not see the need for a crown because I did not see any cracks in my tooth according to the picture. Because I needed to get a cleaning, I reluctantly made another appointment with them just to get it over with and then I would find another dentist. I headed back a week later for the appointment, only to find out that they did not have me scheduled. After a few minutes of talking with them, I was able to get an appointment for 30 minutes later. While I was waiting, I was told about a copay. I told them the insurance would pay 100% for my cleanings. They said they told me so in the past appointment. I walked out on them and filed a complaint with my insurance. The office manager and the rest of the staff were very rude. I would not recommend this place to anyone. They Cheat.
