People BEWARE!!!! This is not a moving company, this is a professional scamming ring managed by a couple of jerks and thieves. I found this company online last year to move some equipment I had from my storage in Pa to my new business in Syracuse, NY. I hadn't had a lot of experience with moving companies for I rarely used them. I called and one of their 2 or so agents named James answered me. He asked me what size truck I was looking for and I told him I don't know a size, but that I will give him a list of the equipment that I'm moving and their sizes, and based on that he can tell me what size truck I need. After giving him a detailed list, he told me I need a 54 foot truck and 4 guys to lift the equipment. And told me that it will cost me 1600 to do the job. BASED ON THOSE TERMS, I agreed and the moving date was to be two days later. I paid 600 while on the phone with the agent and I was to pay the rest after they move the equipment. On the scheduled day, I got a call from them saying that the truck is coming TWO HOURS LATE, They told me that during the time that they were supposed to be here and after I Got to the storage which is about 2 hours away from where I came. Having no other choice I waited. 3 hours later a 26 foot truck came in with 3 workers. WTF, I was outraged, the first thing the drivers did was try to get me to sign a receipt which of course I didn't, I called the company to see what's going on and why are they not fulfilling with the agreement. When I spoke with James, he seemed to be very nervous and did not know what to say, so he switched the line over to his boss, the head of the whole scam. When I asked him what's going on, he rudely told me that, this is the only size truck that they have. If that's the only size that why did you make up the size that you told me about?. Anyways, I asked him, how will he fit all the EQUIPMENT THT ARE ON THE LIST, he said, that's not his problem, and that If the equipment doesn't fit, he'll send another 26ft truck, hence, I know where he got the number 54, and that I will pay another 1600 to get the job done. So the job went from 1600 to 3200. Obviously at that time I knew it was a scam and SO DID HIS DRIVERS WHO SAID THAT HE HAD DONE THIS TO MANY OTHER CUSTOMERS. I refused this and asked him to refund my 600 dollars if he does not want to stick to the original agreement, He didn't refunded it, wasted my entire day and lost me a lot of money like car gas. It has been a year now since this problem and I'm still trying to get my money back through American express, and he is not only refusing to refund, HE EVEN FORGED MY SIGNITURE, WHICH LOOKS NOTHING LIKE MY REAL SIGNITURE. THIS SIUATION IS SO BAD THAT I MIGHT HAVE TO SPEND MORE TIME AND MONEY TO HIRE A LAWYER AND TAKE THIS S*O*B THIEF TO COURT. STAY AWAY AND SPARE YOURSELF THE HEADACHE AND DRAMA. more

AVOID. BIGGEST SCAM ARTISTS! They brought a truck that was too small to complete the job and understaffed it as well. They couldn't fit all of our belongings and the job required two trips. They told us they called ""Juan"" to get two more guys and a truck to our house and then never showed up. They refused to make the additional trips and collected an additional $110 for gas, which was included in our flat fee. The movers reported to the company that additional trips were rejected by us, when we expressly asked for them. Not to mention Nicole Patrick, the manager, was extremely rude and non apologetic about the partial work done and the fact that we were swindled by her employees and the company. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!! more

Used for moving my girlfriend back home to Brocton NY. They did come and pack the items and delivery went smooth. more

I needed to move from Montville NJ, to Montana With my three kids .I was very nervous to say the least , but after I spoke to sue at Universe Express I began to relax a little . I was skeptical that any move could go well ,especially since I was moving cross country , But to my shock and amazement I was wrong . They took care of everything for me just as sue said they would . Great job guys !!!!!!!!!! more

I hired Universe Express moving and storage for my move from Rutherford NJ, to Los Angeles, CA . I had to move immediately.I was very uneasy thinking this was going to be a nightmare ,but when I called and spoke to Nikki the office manager all my anxiety went away. I knew immediately that I was in good hands.I booked my move and the guys were there early the next afternoon.The Price was extremely reasonable and the guys were great I couldn't be happier! more

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! I got a quote online from UniverseExpress website and scheduled the move. The pricing and the terms were straightforward, fair, and in writing. The 3 guys showed up on time, and were courteous and professional. And they were patient in spite of unforeseen parking and street access obstacles on either end of the move that made their job more difficult. They finished on time and honored the original estimate. Moving to FL from NJ, I received dozens of quotes, and Universe Express was one of the higher prices, but after doing my homework checking their credentials I decided to go with them. Edwin, the job supervisor on pick-up was super nice, managed his crew very well and treated our antique furniture gently, padding with many moving blankets. On delivery in FL (they told me up to 2 weeks, but delivered in 10 days) and the delivery driver even reassembled our beds! more

These guys are patient, helpful, completely and utterly polite, and best of all, knowledgeable in what they do. They have the tools to do an efficient job and they don't give the run-around. I moved from Jersey city, NJ to Manhattan, NY. My experience with Universe Express Inc. was great. I was nervous using a moving company after all the horror stories I have heard. However, Universe Express took great care of me. Their customer service reps were always available to assist me throughout my move. Universe Express defiantly did as they promised.
