Fastest emergency service ever seen!!! 5/5/2011

Last night ny a/c broke at 8:30pm so i called Universal Air and Heat. A young gentleman answered the phone and told me some one would be outright away. I Thought to my self there is no way they would be out in a timly manor for the amount of the serv call he was charged. Sure Enough someone was out with in 1 hour of me calling and fixed my a/c within 45 mins.\r What Great service. Keep up the good work guys! \r \r Larissa Marsh more

Just had work done by universal air and heat and the office staff was extremly professional and so were the techs. my ac was on its way out the door and the wonderful person that came to my house gave me a deal i couldnt say no to... THANKS UNIVERSAL AIR AND HEAT !!! more

GREAT SERVICE! Straight forward which is hard to find these days! Great Prices! I would recommend Universal Air and Heat to everyone and anyone who needs A/C. I have been getting quotes and talking to A/c companies for over 6 months, so I have learned a thing or two. So when Mike and his team inform us on there procedures & xtras and for the LESS than the prices we were getting quoted...we said whats the catch???? There was none. No junk!!! Very Honest!! LET ME TELL YOU HOW RELIEVED I WAS WHEN UNIVERSAL AIR AND HEAT CAME TO MY DOOR..THEY HAVE EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE, THERE TECHS ARE PROMPT AND COURTEOUS NOT TO MENTION THEY DO A FANTASTIC JOB FOR AN AFFORDABLE PRICE. OBVIOUSLY I DID SOME RESEARCH PRIOR TO GETTING MY UNIT FIXED WITH ALL SORTS OF COMPANYS AND SO FAR THIS ONE WAS THE CHEAPEST. I CALLED BECAUSE MY UNIT WASN'T COOLING ENOUGH AND 45 MIN LATER A TECH WAS AT THE DOOR. WOW! saved my birthday party 12/22/2008

i called universal air on saturday night when i was having my son's 1st birthday when i heard a loud explosion by my air conditioner, i looked in the magazine that comes in the mail for a/c companies and i saw there 24 hour service. i called them out and told me my compressor has blown up and i need to replace the compressor and with in 2 hours they had me up and running\r \r \r thank you universal air for saving my little boy's birthday\r \r \r - Luis Rodriguez\r Pros: 2 thumbs up! more

my a/c unit broke down at 2:00am in the morning I called 7 companys no one even answered the phone. Then I called universal air & heat and they answered the phone gave me a good price for after hours service I had a service tech at my house in 45 min he was here for about 30 min and my a/c was working perfect when he left thanks universal air and heat i will always use your company from now on. I woke up Sunday morning to an exceptionally warm house. The ac fan was on, but it was not putting out cold air. I had heard the commercial on BIG105, and it so happened that I needed emergency service\r soon after. Jonas arrived within 90 minutes, and walked me through a very unfamiliar process, but by the \r time he had explained that I needed new compressor wire, I was that much smarter! Being a single female homewner, we are often times at the mercy of service companies. Often times you don't really know\r what you need. You just buy what they recommend. Jonas was very knowledgeable, and I had my air on within minutes!! I highly recommend Universal Air. \r more

I called universal air and heat on 5/27/2008 to get an estimate on a new air conditioning unit the girl who answered the phone was very helpfull in recommending to me the best a/c unit for the money I set up an appointment and someone was at my house within 45 minutes I ordered a new 4 ton 15 seer unit and asked how soon can it be installed they said today I was so happy that I would have a/c by the end of the day so I sighned up with them they had a problem getting the unit because the supply house didn?t have the 15 seer unit in stock I thought I was going to be without a/c again but the owner Mike Thompson called me and explained the situation he was very polite and told me he couldn?t get the 15 seer that I ordered at first I was discouraged but he assured me that I would have a/c for my two children that have asthma he was so good to me and my family when he asked me if he could upgrade me to a 16 seer two stage unit that was in stock at no additional charge I didn?t know how to thank him so I promised that I would go online and write this review He kept his word and my family was cooling within 6 hours so I kept my word and wrote this review thanks Universal Air & Heat & Mr. Thompson I will recommend you to all my friends and keep your little sign in my front yard for the whole summer thanks again. I HAD UNIVERSAL AIR & HEAT OUT TO MY HOUSE ON 12/31/2007 AT 11.00PM IT WAS NEW YEARS EVE.\r When I say I was happy ! o ya piping cold a/c for the new year and only 248.00 total for the EMERGENCY SERVICE CALL and the repair. and to top it off they called me today just to follow up and make sure the unit is still working ok NOW THATS SERVICE Honest tech and great service THANKS Universal Air & Heat. Great Customer Service 7/18/2007

On July 16th 2007 I called Universal Air & Heat for an estimate on replacing my old unit, after calling serveral a/c companys and getting prices Universal had the best price for the Trane unit I wanted.\r The unit was installed the next day and the service was great. I would recommend this company to all my friends, and I just want to say thank you to the staff for all their help. Thanks Universal My new a/c system works great. more

Great Service !! 7/3/2007

My a/c broke down at 8 pm on July 2nd 2007 when I called Universal Air & Heat they informed me there will \r be a service call for $189.00 for after hours service. Well having no air at the time and knowing I wont sleep in the heat I told them come on out, the man came within 2 hours and fixed my a/c for $300.00 it was well worth the price to have cold air again and I slept great. The man wasnt here long and changed out a part\r and told me if I had any more trouble just call back. Wow! Thats service, I must say he was a really nice guy and I could'nt thank him enough. more

I would like to thank the staff at Universal Air & Heat for the great service they gave when they came to my home for my a/c. The service guy was wonderful he came right away and found out I had a impacked evap coil , he cleaned my coil for a good price and I would highly recommend this company.\r Thanks, Universal\r more

GREAT COMPANY very prompt & honest they sent out a service man to repair my a/c in my home and i had already got a repair estimate from another a/c company.\r after about 20 minutes of being in my home the technician found the problem & told me how much it was to repair i couldn't believe it when he told me it was only going to cost me 149.00 total to fix my air especially when the last company that i got an estimate from previously tried to rip me off for 485.00 worth of parts that i didn't even need I AM A SINGLE WOMAN ON A FIXED BUDGET.\r TRUST UNIVERSAL AIR & HEAT THEY HELPED ME AND I WILL DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE. more

Deceiving sales people, terrible customer service 5/16/2007

To list a few things:\r \r Promises to include a vent in the kitchen, as ceiling in location has an opening. \r Marlon, apparently the manager, does not comply with his word to include vent in price as he told a 70-year-old lady he was including in the contract. Customer, my mother, does not speak English and believes him when he says he wrote it in English in the contract.\r After asked to add vent, says vent is an additional $75. Vendor does not send tech to add vent. \r When calling office, a young lady, says Marlon is having lunch at 10.30 in the morning - hard to believe he is not pretending to be out of office.\r After several calls, no one in the office is able to assist. When I asked to speak to owner she says he is hardly around. \r Don't use this company because if things don't go smooth, they will give you the run around. If you use them because their employees are bilingual, they will lie to you. \r Be careful.\r more
