I spent a few days in Dallas recently and my girlfriends took me to Uncle Julios to experience some "real" Mexican food. (We don't get much of that here in Washington!)
We started with margaritas - or more accurately "swirls" - these are your typical frozen lime margaritas with one important distinction - these are "swirled" with frozen sangria. Two words: OH. YUM. I had two.
Then the food came - we ordered fajitas for the table and bacon wrapped shrimp (there was a spanish name for these, but after the two margaritas, I can't remember it!) The food was great - nicely spiced, and served with huge piles of fresh guac and sour cream. Our server (Alex, from Vancouver, BC) was a doll. he took great care of us - never letting us run out of anything and encouraging us to linger as long as we wanted to.
The restaurant itself is decorated nicely - in a typical Mexican restaurant style, lots of tile and bright colors. Overall this is a fun place to go, with great food and atmosphere!
