Customer Service Issues 4/5/2007

I became aware of this salon after an article in the Houston Chronicle. I had a consulation and have also gone there for washes, trims, twist extenstions and twists. The location is cute as is the shop. The clothes are ecletic but not ""to die for"". Appointments are different to schedule because they require a cash deposit no matter how long you've been going there and Saturdays must be booked weeks in advance. Best hot clothes for a night on the town or just everyday. 12/8/2006

Uncle Funky's is by far the hippest, chicest, place for funky hot clothes. I highly recommend it for any young, hip female looking for hot clothes for parties or everyday wear. Pros: Quality clothing and friendly service. Cons: Parking is a mother in the Village. more

Best natural salon ever! 7/10/2006

The first time I walked into this place I felt a great warmth and comfort. I received a very thorough consultation and the owner was very professional. When I arrived for my appointment I was greeted, my hair was shampooed and we immediately started the Sisterlock service. My re-tightening took longer than anticipated(my fault), but Tonya was very patient. I was very pleased with my hair when I left and I will be returning. The boutique in the front is very cute and they have a good selection of apparel, accessories, and one of a kind pieces you won't find everywhere. Check it out! I'm glad I did! Exceptional, Blissful Experience 11/13/2005

I was given a gift certificate to get my natural hair styled at this salon and the experience was absolutely exceptional. My two-strand twists were LOVELY and the salon and boutique has this funky, 70's soulful decor took my breath away. They thought of every detail and u can feel the love of the husband and wife team in their personal touches. MUST experience to appreciate!
