If you want to taste Indian vegetarian food like its made in India, visit the Udipi Cafe. Its primarily a southern Indian restaurant, and the chef is from an area in South India called Mangalore.
The breads: Batura, Parotha and Puri are great. On the other hand, northern Indian breads like the Naan are not exactly the way it should be.
