Bad customer service 3/12/2009

I bought some ugg boots at the soho store for my mother who lives in Florida. My mother sent them back to me as she did not like them. I went to the store with the boots of course and the receipt. I spoke to the manager who said company policy to get a refund the debit card will need to be the same as the one I used when I made the purchase. When I bought the boots, I used my debit card but then a few days later my bank sent me a new one which has a different number (to protect my account)but it is still linked to the same checking account.Instead of asking for my ID which will show that I am the holder of the debit card since my name is on the card as well, the manager instead that I go to my bank and ask my bank to print a statement showing that the new card is link to the same checking account. When I came back, I spoke to a different manager who hardly look at in detail the numbers as I was explaining again the whole situation. The first manager was not nice at all and raised her voice insisting that this is their company policy.I will not return to this store nor buy anymore UGG boots, why should I invest my money when I don't get quality service. If the first manager would have said something to the matter, I apologize for the inconvenience but those are the rules instead of raising the voice and give me the whole attitude I am the manager. Anyway, for whoever read my review thanks for reading. \r Pros: selection of boots Cons: Customer service more

I had been told about the Ugg shop by friends. Visited on a late Friday morning in March. I am a size 8 (UK Size) - BIG PROBLEM- ONE pair left, just one pair in the whole shop, I could not even say if i wanted tall, short, more orders need to be made for bigger sizes, this is a popular shop, all different nationalaties in there, I did want to purchase more but impossible. Nice decor, comfortable sofas, good situation, close to Canal Street, Chinatown Pros: very nice decor, shop in a good situation Cons: not enough stock in my size more

The fastest, most courteous $300 transaction ever! 1/11/2008

After scouring the internet for classic tall chocolate uggs, I finally tried locally and found the UGG store in citysearch. I called and the most helpful guy answered the phone and empathized with my story of being swindled by another online UGG retailer. He then shared that they were getting in a new shipment the very next morning, told me they had the boots I wanted and that 10 pairs were coming in the specific size. To top it off - he told me they most likely wouldn't be on the sales floor until noon so I wasn't wasting my time waiting in the morning. After telling me which train to hop on, we hung up and I thought - ""wow, this wasn't at all the experience that the other reviews stated!"" A little skeptical still since my first stroke of bad luck with the Christmas boots for my niece, I tried not to be too excited. I went to the store at 11:40AM today, they opened the doors at 11:45AM and I went up to the first sales guy and asked for ""2 pair of tall classic chocolate uggs in a size 7""! It sounded similar to the rhyme of rattling off a starbucks order - 2 minutes later, I paid for the boots, they shipped them both to California for only $15 and I was on my way in less than 10 minutes! Because the sales guy on the phone gave me the information and advice to buy the boots and everything happened exactly as he said it would, I ended up buying a pair for my sister too with such a pleasant experience. Everyone in the store was smiling and very helpful which was the exact opposite of the what the other reviews stated. This experience made my day and I would go back any day of the week and twice on Sundays! Pros: Very helpful sales people; fast service; reasonable shipping across the country! Cons: Absolutely nothing! more

Worst Customer Service 12/12/2007

I was crazy looking for this store for a while and it was very hard to find. When i finally arrived I found it very crowded and you had to make a line to actually ask for a shoe in a particular size. The Sales people were extremely rude!!! i got what i wanted but in the end left it at the register since the salesperson was very rude!!! i rather order online then to deal with the rudest people. Pros: Variety of shoes Cons: Salesgirls very rude!!! more

Beware of Snooty Ski Bunny Salesgirls! 2/10/2007

I went to the Ugg store on a very crowded Saturday afternoon. While it was refreshing to see a full inventory of the omnipresent boots in all shapes and shearlings (while I started and ended my hunt at the flagship store I've noticed hand lettered signs in multiple NY shoe outposts happily proclaiming that Uggs are back in stock or lamenting their lack of the Ugg), I was sorely dissapointed by the lack of service. After trying politely to get one of the ski bunny salesgirls attention in vein, I marched up to the counter (and waited in line!) just to get someone's attention. Maybe my lack of Louis Vuitton led the salesgirls to believe I was not a serious customer... I was also given a hard time by the snooty sales girls when I requested to wear my purchase.\r \r In short, this is the place to go for depth of selection and reliable inventory. However, if you want service at this chic SoHo outpost make sure you dress the part (even though you're shopping for utilitarian outdoor footwear). Pros: Selection, Variety Cons: Service, way too crowded more
