I have a door to door storage pod that I want to move to a closer location. I talked to someone at UC storage about this, then went to see their location. I called to confirm my reservation with them, then went in to pay two days later. Here is where the trouble started. First of all, they were now quoting me a higher price for a slightly smaller unit. Second, they now said that there was no place I could temporarily put the storage pod while I unloaded it into the unit. I had already talked to them about this, and they had previously said it would be fine. Moreover they were rather rude about it, acting completely disinterested in helping me figure out a solution. They wouldn't even hold my space for another day while I figured something out: they said they didn't hold spaces, yet they just had done so for me over the weekend. It was all very fishy and they were rather rude and completely unhelpful. I suspect they either wanted to rent the unit to someone else (at a better price), or they've gotten into trouble with having storage units outside their facility. If it was the latter they should've discussed this with me previously, not the mention that they should've been much more professional and helpful and forthright in their contact with me.
