WORST MOVERS IN TOWN!! DON"T WASTE YOUR TIME & MONEY!! 3/31/2012

The crew showed up late. The movers forgot to load the washer and dryer onto the truck and therefore the washer and dryer didn't make it to our new home. We were left trying to figure out whether we should hire another mover or find a way to get our washer and dryer into our SUV. The movers didn't even hang a door back on its hinges. My door was left propped up against my couch and two men and truck's hammer was left on the floor. Then, the customer service was terrible trying to get someone back to my house to finish properly assembling a desk and get the door back on its hinges. SAVE YOURSELF THE HASSLE AND GO WITH ANOTHER MOVER!! Pros: null Cons: null more

Use them with confidence! 7/13/2011

They did a GREAT job for me. I moved from Marietta, GA, to Tullahoma, TN, and things couldn't have been better. They showed up on time, they loaded everything within the estimated timeframe, and they delivered everything the next morning, just as scheduled. Many thanks to Greg Gainey for his estimating skills, and to John, Mark and Chris for taking good care of my furniture during the move. By the way, this is the second time I've used TM&T, and both times I was very pleased with the results. more

Only use them if you want your things broken and damaged! 6/30/2011

This was the worst idea we have ever had! My husband and I thought it would be so nice and stress free to have a moving company do our moving for us... WRONG!!!! The day started off with them being late to our home and only went down hill from there! When the arived I told them that they MUST be careful with my husbands new flat screen tv and my new (1 month old) sofa. They must have taken this as a presonal challenge. :/ They started moving things and one of the guys turned around and knocked over our tv and it hit flat on its screen (not good) then they proceded to break part of my childrens bunkbed, break my tv stand and drag my king size mattress on the ground outside and this was only the "up load". On the drive to the new place I called the offce to let them know I was unhappy with the way things were going and they let me know "they were very sorry" and that they would work to make things right. Well, on the "off load" the riped my sofa broke my collection of elephants from around the world (by letting the box fall from the top of a stack where the bottom box was clearly marked "Girls Computer"), broke a picture frame the next day when I began to unpack found my daughters printer broken and I am still finding things broken as I continue to unpack. When I called them to let them know I was unhappy they said they would fix my sofa but there is nothing that can be done about the elephants. There is no amount of money that can make that right! I told them they should discount my rate by an hour and this took them an hour to decide on then they finally said they would do this... hahahaha when the young man gave me my bill I was so upset and ready for them to leave I did not look at it well and just signed it and paid it BIG MISTAKE. The next day when I was not so upset I looked at all my paper work and found I had been over charged by 1/2 hour. When I called and said I needed to be refunded they didnt want to refund me any money and told me "the error on the paper work was not the error I was thinking it should have said 3:00 not 2:30 for my stop time so you see you were not over charged he just wrote the wrong time". To me this just sounded like nothing but a BIG FAT LIE! I said that if they started at 9:00 am and worked until12:00pm then worked from 12:30 pm until 2:30pm it was 5 hours and when you took away the 1 hour they were giving me off it should have been 4 hours NOT 4.5 hours. This conversation went on for over and hour with the end result being that Angela (the site manager) saying she would give me my money back but "where does it end". This was a really bad day that has turned into a really bad week of finding more and more things broken. Do NOT use Tow Men and a Truck for your next move! more

Terrible Service! STAY AWAY 6/21/2011

I hired Two Men and a Truck to move me from GA to NC. The company stored my furniture in their Kennesaw storage facility for approximately 2 months. Upon delivery of my furniture to Charlotte, NC, I realized that several of my belongings, including a 32" television, dvd player, dvd movies, 3 lamps were missing. The lamp shades for these particular were found in one of the boxes, however, the lamps themselves were missing. When I called the office about the missing items, I was told by one of the office staff that they have had problems with items being stolen from the storage facility in the past. The movers and I checked through all of my delivered boxes 2x each to discover that the items were in fact not there. I was told that I would be reimbursed for the stolen items, but now the company refuses to reimburse me because 'they did not pack the items' and were therefore not liable. On 06/07, I spoke to John, the moving manager and he shared that my damaged dining room chair would be replaced and that the reimbursement check would be ready upon my arrival to Atlanta on 06/14. When I arrived to Marietta on 06/14, I was informed that I would only be reimbursed for the television but not the other items because the company did not pack them. I asked, how do you know what you all packed when an inventory was not kepy in terms of who packed what and what items were packed in each box. In fact, the company did pack those items and now refuses to take responsibility for stolen items from their facility. Throughout this whole process, the storage facility was not apologetic, nor accommodating, nor willing to meet my needs as a customer whose items were stolen from their facility. The manager of the storage facility even admitted to firing an employee for suspected theft, yet they were unwilling to acknowledge theft of my items that were stored in their facility. They have only exemplified a lack of professional ethics and liability. I had to call the corporate office to file a complaint in order for the general manager, Erin Woody to call me back, for her only to be combative and banter back and forth regarding my complaint. I have been appauled by such a display of poor business ethics and lack of professional responsibility that Two Men and a Truck have displayed. I chose this particular company and entrusted them with my personal belongings due to the high ratings that they had. If this does nothing but allow the company/owner and other customers to be made aware of the poor customer service exemplied by the managerial staff and discuss the misdealing of this particular case. more

Terrible! 6/17/2009

Do not use the Marietta Franchise! I've used two men and a truck 4 times prior to this move, until this move I've loved two men and truck; this is the first time with this franchise and it was terrible. They sent inexperienced staff and one of the staff was not physically capable of being a mover. They damaged multiple pieces of furniture and took twice as long as my four prior moves with two men a truck for the same items. Please take this review seriously, I would hate for anyone to go through the same. Strongly recommend other two men and truck franchises in Atlanta, just not this one. Based on their previous responses, it is likely the staff will post stating I'm an unreasonable customer however I'm highly professional and experienced with moving. My assessment is based on a comparison for the same move by the same company - different franchise. Read all the reviews from other customers - there are many with similiar experiences. Pros: None Cons: Poor Workmanship / Way to long on hours more

Two Bozos and a truck 3/23/2007

I used Two Men & Truck on 3/17/07 to move my small 550 sqft aprtmnt. I have a heavy piece of furniture, so I was told I needed three guys. They quoted $135.00 an hour for the move. This seemed high, but they were highly recommended so I decided to use them. I had two drop offs, so I knew the move would take longer than usual. We estimated the move would take 4 hours: 3 to move my apartment (with 3 movers!), & 1 to move a few items to the 2nd drop off. It took 4 1/2 hours to do the first part and 2 hours to do the second part. I was paying for 3 movers, but I got 2 guys who did the work and 1 guy who "supervised" & spent a lot of time doing paperwork & even took a 30 minute stinky bathroom break. I rushed to get them done at the end of the move & didn't really inspect my stuff (I was still on the clock, afterall). My fiance noticed damage to our wood floors & on the armoire when he got home. This was the final straw. We had already paid almost $1000.00 to move a 550 square foot apartment...with 3 movers!!! (I almost forgot, they also charged us a $50.00 travel fee to "make the move worth their time," as if almost $1000.00 wasn't already worth their time.) I called the manager first thing Monday to tell him about the problems that we encountered, & he said that he would look into things. But the best that he has come up with is only $100 off our total move because it's my word against his movers. He says that he doesn't believe me because when he came by during the move everything seemed fine, but what was I supposed to say when I am at their mercy with my stuff already on their truck? I think it's obvious just by looking at the numbers. It was a small one bedroom apartment! Oh, and I almost forgot, I had already moved all my clothes, my entire kitchen, & one of my dressers myself prior to the move. I also moved all of my own electronics and odds and ends the day of the move. So, does $1000.00 still seem right? If you ask me, it doesn't add up. Pros: They were on time. Cons: They took advantage of my time. more
