Best

I love pizza and they seem to love me.. I had a slice from another two boots in the west side but as memory serves me the east side location was better.

Worst

Expensive, overrated, and small slices for big cash. There are so many better pizza places in walking distance from any of the two boots locations. If anyone else tells me this ...

GREAT SELECTION OF PIE 11/30/2009

Stopped by on Sunday for a slice found they had so many varities of pizza. Garlic knots and a slice of their Hawian hit the spot. Definitely will go back again Pros: selection more

Best Video Selection 4/8/2008

Great selection of videos. Whoever selected these really knew what they're doing. Good selection of indies, cult, and foreign but they have big theater New Releases as well. Cute, comfortable atmosphere. The attached screening room shows good stuff too, they just do a poor job of advertising them. So glad this store is in my neighborhood, I never go anywhere else. Pros: Video selection Cons: late fees more

Raised prices, not quality of food 10/30/2007

Today I bought a plain and a pepperoni for $5.25. These are the basic staples of pizza, too much. Anywhere else I can get a slice of plain for $2, and I will for now on. I have always said Two Boots is my favorite in the neighborhood. I like the thin crust, but sometimes the slices are so small even the $2 fee is questionable. Now their downsizing the video store and raising prises on the pie. New owners? Sell outs? Whoever, I don't like them anymore. They can take their ugly florescent lights from over the pie to the bank, not my money. Maybe your money suckers? Don't give them the satisfaction. Pros: Yummy Pizza Cons: Take advantage of customers more

Delicious Pizza, Fun Atmosphere, Live Entertainment 9/9/2007

Pizza and Fun under one roof! I've been there a couple times to see the comedy show Thursday nights downstairs and each time I grab a slice and a beer. The other night I brought 8 friends and we all had different slices of their hilariously named pizzas. I recommend the Larry Tate. Earth Goddess looked really good. My friend liked The Dude, but I haven't tried it. It is delicious NY Pizza at its best. It's a hip environment, in the heart of the East Village/Alphabet City and the shows downstairs in the Den of Cin make for a fun evening. Pros: Fresh Ingredients, Variety of Slices, Live entertainment downstairs, takes CC Cons: I wish it was a LITTLE bit cheaper, you have to speak loudly to the staff more

Wide Variety of Pizzas 11/9/2006

Here you can get The Dude, The Bird, and other festive cajun influenced pizzas. They tend to have a little spice kick to them, but you can request the mild sauce if needed. Sometimes they overcook the pizza more than I'd like resulting in a slightly overdone pie. A nice alternative to your basic italian pizza. more

Beware of delivery! 1/14/2006

We order from Two Boots on a regular basis and have eaten in the restaurant because of their unique pizza with a thin crust and Cajun sauce that can't be beat. Usually, delivery to 14th St. and Ave. B takes 45 minutes, but tonight was the worst. We waited one hour to call the restaurant at which point they said it'd arrive in a "minute." Finally, after an hour and a half we received an ice cold pizza with no apologies from the restaurant. Pros: pizza Cons: 1.5 hrs for delivery more

Good Pizza! 7/6/2003

This pizza is nice! Thin crust, good spicy sauce and a sprinkling of parmasean on the end of the crust! Prices aren't bad and the location is convenient on the corner in the village! Try it, you'll love it! Pros: good prices, good thin crust, good location Cons: can get crowded, service can be slow more

My Favorite NYC Pizza 3/10/2003

Two Boots seems to be a favorite with many New Yorker's... they make pizza the way I like it best: relatively thin crust, spicy red sauce, semolina seed bottom, and crusty. They have a wonderful assortment of toppings which they name after famous celebrities ""Mr. Pink"" (from Reservoir Dogs), ""The Newman"" (from Seinfeld). You'll love all the combinations. The atmosphere is wonderful for a pizza place... and they've got 3 (I think) New York locations. If you like pizza as described, this will be your favorite also. Pros: My Favorite Pizza :), Creative Recipes Cons: Only 3 locations more

Crunch! 2/10/2003

Get it fresh and it's a lot better than run-of-the-mill corner pizza stands. Cornmeal on the bottom of thin crust makes it crunchier without interfering with taste. Standard toppings or spicy New Orleans style. Really Good! more

Way Way Overrated 2/9/2003

Expensive, overrated, and small slices for big cash. There are so many better pizza places in walking distance from any of the two boots locations. If anyone else tells me this is the best pizza in NYC, I'm gonna flip. (tastes OK, but just way overrated) Pros: variety, flavor Cons: small portions, expensive more

What is that crap on the crust? 1/22/2003

This place is soooooooo over rated. Why do they have corn meal (or whatever that is) on the crust? Real pizza places do not put pineaplle on any pizza. Give me a pizza place that makes good enough pizza that they dont need to use corny names to sell it. While it is not anywhere near the best pizza in the village, it is among the more expensive. more
