Editorial review from GrubHub 9/13/2012

Tried to order from this restaurant and they called me and said they won't deliver to my street. They were also extremely rude to me on the phone. Why are they on grubhub if they won't deliver to me?! more

Everything works as a whole 7/30/2011

I never have a dull moment in this restaurant. The food service all works in my favor. I have been coming here for the past 11 years. The staff is absolutely fantastic especially the owner great class and a sense of humor, very community oriented will continue coming here thank you for staying open. more

Great food- great atmosphere for kids! 2/24/2011

Two boots has a few locations/ The brooklyn location is better for kids/families- they let the children have pizza dough to play with ( like play dough ) and the have a very large menu so there is something for everyone. I bring the little guys I Nanny for here. They love the pizza. I love the calamari! I brought my parents to the Two Boots in the Village when they came to visit - we had a great time. Good food and sometimes they have live music too. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is it is very crowded so sometimes the service is a bit slow - -they need more waitstaff. more

Editorial review from GrubHub 7/28/2008

I really love Two Boots but after ordering a burger as take out I would probably never do it again because the container they use is air tight it steamed the french fries (made them soggy), wilted the lettuce, onions and pickles. The coleslaw was between the burger and fries so it was very hot by the time I got it home. The burger's bun was hard, again because of the steaming. Again, let me say, the restaurant is great and so is the food. more

Decent food for eat-in -- Avoid delivery at all costs 2/11/2008

My boyfriend and I ordered delivery from Two Boots last night because we have enjoyed the food there in the past but had just returned from a trip so wanted to stay in for the night. We were put on hold for 5 minutes and then the delivery took over an hour to arrive (we live within a few blocks). The pizza was cold and the Chicken Caesar salad had two nasty anchovies on it even though we had requested a hold on those. I was really disappointed in their service because I have gone there several times and been satisfied. I guess the moral of the story is to make that extra effort and pick up the food. Pros: Good frozen drinks Cons: Horrible delivery service more

Overall excellent breakfast/brunch place 2/2/2008

The nicest service, very good food, and the best damn bloody mary!!! Kids friendly, distinctive decor. Did I mention very reasonable prices? more

Great food, solid service, awesome for kids! 3/18/2007

I chose this place for dinner because of the other user reviews and once again the City Searchers did not let me down! The food and service were fantastic, my 3 loud kids were not noticed and my youngest even made a friend while waiting for the dough to be delved out.\r \r There was a creepy crawly on the wall, welcome to Brooklyn... The kids thought it was funny, the server didn't notice and we just chalked it up to Slope dining.\r \r If you're thinking of going, make sure you order the sweet potato fries, you won't regret it!!! more

Local eatery 12/12/2006

I live in the general vincinity and I love to grab a bit to eat here. From brunch to dinner.\r Great for groups and children.Great place for health conscience eaters as well. If youwant to pig out you can as well. Great everything. Love it.\r \r A girl friend of mine had her son's birthday party there. My mother inlaw had her graduation party there. I went to about 3 birth dinners there and every now and thwn have brunch there with friends.\r \r Everyone there is friendly, accomedating and its great that we have this place in the community. Pros: Great family oriented Cons: Wish I owned it more

kids will love it 11/16/2006

This is an extremely family-friendly place, fitting for the family-oriented Park Slope nighborhood. The restaurant is constantly crawling with kids, and tends to be noisy as a result. My little brother is a regular - the pizza guys even give him dough to play with while we wait for our meal. I'm a big fan of their po' boys and sweet potato fries. Pros: great for the kids Cons: noisy more

Brunch is lackluster, but okay. 11/28/2005

I tried Two Boots Brooklyn out for brunch last Sunday. I'm a big fan of their East Village location and their pizza. Was not too impressed. In my opinion, the quality is roughly the same as at your local diner. They do offer a twist on some of your typical brunch faves like french toast and eggs benedict, but when all is said and done, it's not THAT great. No beverages are included with your brunch entrees (which has become almost a standard everywhere else in the neighborhood). Not saying I had a bad experience, but it was just ""eh"". The dining room is cozy though, and seems like a good place to brunch with a large party. Maybe I would have better luck with dinner? Pros: Cozy atmosphere, large dining room, decent food Cons: not exceptional, drinks cost extra more

Them aint such po'boys after all 5/16/2005

Two boots make a really good po'boy I highly recommend it. Yes there are a lot of kids in this place, but we were kids once too. Pros: po'boy Cons: noisey more

yo 3/1/2003

arrr. Everything would be perfect at this place if not for people. People meaning loud running around lil people. If you want to avoid them, i suggest trying to eat in the outdoor area. Sometimes the waiter/ress is nice, or odd. I've never had a rude one before. more

Cozy, comfy 2/6/2003

This is a very mellow place. I love sitting outside in the summer or in one of the booths in winter. The bartenders are friendly and relaxed and play decent music. The chili kicks butt, as do the po-boy sandwiches and fried calamari. The pizza is very good. Stay away from the gumbo, though - it's gluey. Pros: bartenders, outdoor seating Cons: gumbo, little kids all over! more

Go Late 1/6/2003

Fun atmosphere: good drinks, fun zydeco/rockabilly/etc. music. Go late, though, if you don't want to be surrounded by out-of-control Park Slope brats being let to run amok. Pros: Good food, Yummy drinks, Free live music Cons: Kids gone wild more

Relax with kids 12/21/2002

Excellent reliable food and an easy place to takes kids who do not like to sit still. The pizza is thin crust and delicious. The appetizers are delectable. The specials are reliable. Especially good is the catfish dinner and the oyster po-boy. The samosa appetizer and the calamari are also delicious. Pros: kid friendly Cons: pricy more

boycott boots 7/16/2002

I had the worst restaurant experience EVER at Brooklyn Two Boots. The waitress and bartender/manager were frighteningly rude and when I complained about an entree, I was told that I was wrong and could go someplace else. And if that wasn't bad enough, I was called a name on my way out! Let's grow up, folks. After patronizing Two Boots for years, I will NEVER bring my family or friends there again. Brooklyn should boycott Boots. Cons: rude staff, blah food more

The Boot Arrives! 6/28/2002

Two Boots is in Brooklyn. I am very excited. This establishement seems to be neighborhood-involved (good), overrun by kids (bad--well hell, it is Park Slope). Solution? This place is exccellent later in the evening or on weekend nights. Get some drinks and listen to the free live music. Yes, it's expensive pizza, but treat yourself for once. Pros: Live Music, Great, Fun Drinks Cons: Kids more

Kid Crazy 5/12/2002

This place may be more appealing if you have kids, because you can usually find some here -- unfortunately, not all of them are well-behaved, which makes eating a peaceful meal all-but impossible. Brunches are a strong suit, nonetheless. more
