Don't call them 12/27/2009

I contacted this company with two problems (a washer and oven). My washer stopped working with a load in, and it wouldn't stay on. It kept cutting off. But of course, when the technician pushed the on button it worked fine, and worked fine while he was here. But he said he thought the problem was the motherboard. Did he have any information other than a hunch to go on? Did he check the connections with anything that could read whether or not signals where getting to the specific parts? No! He literally did nothing, but take off the cover, turn the control knob, and push the on button. That was the extent of that evaluation. When it came to the oven, he asked what was wrong with it. I said it?s not heating up enough even though the signal light and buzzer say that it has reached the correct temperature. His next question: how do you know? Well, when it takes over 2 hours to roast a chicken that two months previously would have only took an hour that?s a clue. Everything was taking much longer to bake then it should have. He asked if I had used an external thermometer to see if the temperature was off. Of course I did. His comment was the external thermometer was wrong, and the only way to get a correct reading would be to use an IR thermometer, which he didn't have. So, he said that the only thing that could go wrong with an oven was the motherboard. I said well what about the sensor. He said those rarely go out. He did turn on the oven and let it get warm and then off and on put his hand in the oven and say it seems to be hot to me. That was the extent of it. I ended up paying a service charge and there was a coupon in the yellow pages that I finally got to use after the technician decided that I wanted to use the coupon now instead of later. I do have to say one thing about the technician, he called me later that day with information about my oven that he got from the manufacturer about what I could do to increase or decrease the temperature of the oven myself. Pros: The technician contacted the manufacturer after he left. Cons: The technician didn't have the diagnostic tools for the job. more

Terrible Service and Argumentative Staff! 11/23/2009

I called them for warranty work. Sounds simple right? They came out and said they would have to order the part, and then come out later and fix it. No problem, also no call back. I called a month later. They said they never heard back from us. Well, we never heard from them. They sent the part back, and said they would re-order it and call us. No call a month later. Then I get a call from the serviceman, he was on his way to my house. i never got a call that he was coming, so I canceled, and he sadi he would have the office call me to set up the appointment. Again, no call. I called to find out what the problem was. I was told I would get a call back, no call a week later. So I call again, and this time get the manager Peggy, who argued about everything. All I want is my washer fixed. It's warranty work, so no out of packet expense for me. Why on earth would I screw around with them??? Cons: service, communication, professionalism more

The Worst for Service, Promptness, and Repairs! 7/5/2009

I called Turner Appliance when my freezer started leaking onto the floor and the ice maker was overflowing to set up an appointment to have someone come out and see what was wrong, stop the leak, and give me an estimate. Christ at Turner Appliance showed up at least 1 hour past the allotted time on every instance he came to my home, which he had to do 5 times to address the issue. Poor Service - Beware 3/13/2009

This was my first experience with Turner Appliance Repair. Trust me it will be my last. The job that they were hired to do was to take out an existing under-counter microwave and re-install a new one that I had purchased. The tech came to my home without having the proper tools to do the job. Not only did he not properly install the microwave but he also damaged my new microwave. I contacted the owner about the damage and he was not willing to be responsible for his employee. The owner was unprofessional and unreasonable. An unrepeatable business owner, should be exposed. more
