The California Mart is downtown in the middle of the fashion district. Surrounding the Mart is many cheap, fashionable little stores. Parking in the Mart building is a little expensive so your best bet (if you want to save money) is to park across the street in a lot that charges a flat rate of five dollars. The Mart has hundreds of designers working there and you can catch fashion shows or tour the bottom floor which kinda feels like a mall. There are restaurants and coffee shops and plenty of ATMs. On certain days of the month the designers sell their samples at a discounted price. But not all designers do it and the pieces are usually expensive. Most sellers only sell wholesale so if you don't have a license you can't even browse. The best thing about the mart is the location, right in the heart of the fashion district.
