We had visited this business once before and found the associate to be very rude and unhelpful. We went to try to purchase the from this store because we realized that this store was the only one in town. Once again, this associate was there and very unhelpful. She and the owner began to argue over details in the process and are unable to help us with our Jewish names. As we are asking questions, the associate continues to shout back about details that we were unaware of. She finally throws me a figure that I did not expect and began to rattle off prices that were never discussed.
On top of all of this, they have a fan that is right above the cash register and when my fiance continuously asked me to come over to help her decide things, I kept saying that I cannot stand under the fan because it is extremely uncomfortable. We decided that we were powerless because they were the only place in town, so ended up purchasing the ketubah. While the cc is being rung up, this associate asks if the fan is making me uncomfortable. I answered "I've only said it did for the last 1/2 hr." She replies that she is at that age where she doesn?t even notice it and never offers to do anything to help us! We left there feeling like we had just been taken!
We decided to call up and cancel the order because we did not wish to look at our ketubah for the rest of our lives as a time of pain. The associate tells my fiance that she is glad that we are not getting it because we didn?t look like we should be married!!! The owner (who is 60% deaf) was a tad helpful, but the damage has been done.
I only have this warning for you... if you see a blond, older and rounder woman when you walk in this business, WALK OUT and go online. I do not wish bad luck on this business, but wish to inform everyone on this associate and her practices.
Pros: Only place in town!
Cons: Rude, inconsiderate, impolite and unhelpful staff!
