Tre Alberi Ristorante & Motel

My Family and I found this wonderful little restaurant by accident! And we were so surprised to find such wonderful food this far away from Manhattan. The food was fresh, the chef owner was very friendly and welcoming! Service was very good, the girls were always on our table to see if we needed anything. We will be back for certain. This is my 3rd time to the Tre Alberi. The other 2 times were on New Years Eve a few years ago. I expected the wait then. Sat 9/3 we made reservations and were seated quickly. There were 5 other occupied tables and 2 wait staff. We had to ask the first person twice to receive menus. She took our drink order. She said the other waitress would tell us the specials. After 10 minutes the 2nd waitress brought our drinks and told us the specials. Another 10 minutes went by and the 2nd waitress came and took our orders and left bread which was ok and very stale breadsticks. An hour and 20 minutes later I went in search of someone to tell me the status of our food. The first waitress was writing up a bill and pointed at the counter in the kitchen where our food was cooling. I assumed she would bring it out at that point. Wrong! 10 minutes later the 2 women brought it out. The quality of the food was good but no where near what it used to be and certainly not worth waiting almost 2 hours for. NEVER AGAIN! more

My wife and children were up recently , we had a wonderful time. The food was just perfect. Our children actually finished all the dishes, which is very unusual. The chef and his lovely wife made us all feel as guest's rather than customer's. Waitress was also very lovely. Will be back soon. Thanks so much for a absolutely wonderful evening. My fiance and I enjoyed a sumptuous lobster dinner at this hidden gem by the Delaware River. They were prepared in a manner we've never had before: pan-fried (upside down as it was explained by the happy and giddy chef), served with tasty clams and New Zealand mussels. The taste and presentation was delectable and the place has a wonderful old-world charm about it. The waitresses were timely as our appetizers and dinners were warm and exceedingly fresh; they were wonderful conversationalists as was the chef/owner as we left. \r I would have to agree with Dinner224. I was there on Valentines day and also experienced poor service and mediocre food. There was a couple with kids and they were seated in a separate room at the bar. The kids were very well behaved considering the length of time they were there. \r \r Since there was no one else sitting in the same room I would doubt that James1959 had any idea what was going on with the wait staff etc. How could one describe in such details the events that went on with Dinner224 unless they were at the same table? I assume that James1959 was fed this erroneous information by the owner. \r \r \r more

Greatest Italian Restaurat ever!! I'm a long time costumer, I love the chef-wife owned business, everything is home made, just like my grandma used to cook! Even better! The service is exellent, the prices are very reasonable, highly recommended! Pros: food, service, chef more

I have been a frequent customer at this gem of a restaurant since it opened its doors back in 1988. The food is absolutely great,the chef- owner Onorato Valic worked in some of the finest restaurants in NYC. I have brought lots of friends and family members to this fine restaurant, they will all attest to the same. Never having a bad meal. All food is prepared to order ala Carte. \r I happen to be at the restaurant on Valentines dinner along with the person who gave it a bad review ( DINNER442). He had with him 3 children who were running around breaking things screaming, all along as the father did nothing except drink all night long, got drunk, gave the wait staff a hard time all night long. His wife was so embarrassed because he wanted to leave without paying for half of the check. \r When I heard him tell the waitress he was going to give them a bad review if they didnt deduct 2 meals they finished. I just had to write this review myself. Please do not pay any mind to a drunk fool. I am sure most of us have experienced a night such as this. \r I assure this place is great. We received a recommendation to try TRE Alberi from our B&B owner. We almost passed it by how sorry we would of been. The outside of the restaurant does not do justice to what you will experience inside. The food is spectacular. This place should not be missed. The prices are more than reasonable for the service and the quality of the food. Pros: To many to list. Food, Service and wine were exceptional Cons: The outside of the building might turn you off. more

When you are Upstate NY you don't expect good Italian Food.This is EXCELENT. The Service, Atmosphere & Food is hard to beat. Very Relaxing & enjoyable. Don't forget leave room for Desert Pros: Value, Staff, Chef more
