We were at the counter ready to pay the bill. My friend needed to use a phone very urgently. Hers was not functioning. We saw the business wireless phone misplaced, lying on the counter. It seemed that a customer had just recently used it, we thought. We asked the waiter if we could place a very brief phone call since it was an emergency. Finally, he reached the general manager. Adamantly, she said, NO! Such attitude of scarcity mentality and untrustworthiness, unfortunately, still prevails in many businesses today. Consequently, our experience there was very very sour. It is time to be a little bit more concerned and caring with their customers, and not just to get their $$$$$$$$$s.
