Transmission Medic Transmissions

I had a rebuilt Transmission put in my 2003 Explorer at Action Transmission. It failed at 18300 miles with an 18000 mile warranty. They claimed the issue was with the computer and told me to have a nice day. Took it to Ford and they wanted $3800 to fix it. My Daughter had an issue with her Toyota and took it to Transmedic, they discovered it was a bad wheel bearing and CV joint. Cost her $250. So I decided to give them a try, they replaced the solenoid pack for $400 and my transmission works better than when it was replaced. They saved me from scrapping my Explorer as I was not going to put other $3000+ dollars into. Corey was easy to work with and did and charged exactly what he quoted. This is very rare for a transmission shop. They will have all my future business more

2006 Chevy Trailblazer transmission was going out. I called Transmedic and talked to Cory. I was given a price and a repair time frame. I checked around the metro area looking for quotes to compare. I found Transmedic to be very competitive in price and the quoted turn around for having my car at their shop was only 1-2 days.\r \r I decided to take my car to them and was greeted by Cory. (I was later to find out he is the owner.) Cory welcomed me, remembered who I was from our phone call a few days before and remembered the vehicle. Not only was I impressed by Cory being able to remember all of this but he is also working on the floor of the shop next to his crew. Not something you see much anymore where the owner is not afraid to get his hands dirty.\r \r Long story short, my car is now working perfectly again. The price was less than I was quoted and it was done in 1 day. I am very impressed with the facility and the fact that Cory did what he said and was able to keep his price below his estimate. All that and a warranty. I would highly recommend Cory and the Transmedic staff. more

Never go here!! Not sure who the guy was that convinced me that I need a 1800 dollar rebuild and my ""press plate"" was broke and inside my tranny pan.. Well, the problem was a simple cable adjustment.. 11 mm wrench fixed my problem.. These guys have their buddies writing good reviews and I can tell you for sure.... They are not the place you want to go.. Ever!!! more

Hello folks, and yes Where do I start?, I want to give a little background of my problem, I bought a 2004 Chrysler 300e the guy recommended Cory and Neal at Transmedic, So I decided to give them a try, When me and my wife got there, we were impressed with how "" clean and professional and busy this place was.I entered and Neal, immediately acknowlege us with a warm welcoming smile.and friendly hello. I told him what the car was doing, Neal said you don't need a ""trasmission repair"" but a alternator problem.We were floored!,as We go to leave, my chysler wouldn't start completely dead"".Well the hero Neal, comes out leaves his other customers,and help me start up my car.""FREE OF CHARGE"" not only got my car going, but recommended, a Dynamite mechanic name Vos Automotive, Neal must walk on water"" I was in a real tough spot,and he took his precious time and, made sure I got to his friends shop ( next door) his friend equally impressive, tested my charging system, and he determined,all I needed was a LesScwab battery! My total cost Zero! Zilch! Nada! Nothing! So, if your reading this, then you just don't know whether or not you should take your car here, are they Trusting, Fair, Reliable, and what about Cost, well I was there, I read their reviews and they all sounded good but they would put the good ones up, you would think, I have a 97 Cadillac and my Transmission Fail, didn't have no idea who to take it to so I went on the web and found this place, I look at the place, nice and clean, busy, and newer painted building, I had my car tow there, (Free on Major Repair) that was a good start, they told me my transmission was shot, needs a rebuilt, they told me the cost and how long it would take, of corse I called every other day for a update and to see if the cost would go up, and in the end, they finish it on time and below the first stated cost, with a 1 year Warranties, I am sure happy to have found this place, Just remember you get what you pay for, you pay cheap, you get cheap fix, these people cost alittle more then others but you get done right the first time and they back up there service, give them a try, you will not regret it, I didn't. My first visit was with my sons SUV, and I thought the quality and above and beyond honesty was beginners luck or caught them in a good mood. Wow refreshing!!! These guys were AMAZING! My check engine light was on and I went there by accident thinking it was a mechanic I had seen before. When I figured out I was in a transmission place the sweet guy behind the counter offered to do the computer check to see why the light was on and then refer me to an appropriate mechanic (most places charge $25-$50 just to hook up the little computer checker) Turns out the code was something to do with my transmission so I left my car there. Later that afternoon they told me that, because they couldn't get my car to recreate the problem and because the code wasn't specific to any sort of ailment that there didn't seem to be anything wrong at all with the car and that I could pick it up and didn't owe them any money. Now that is the first time I have EVER heard that from a mechanic. It restored my faith in mankind (or at least mechanic-kind) Thank you Tran-Medic and if and when my transmission does take a crap I WILL go directly to you. more

After going to a mechanic who was going to charge me $3,000. I thought it would not hurt to get a second opinion on the transmission on my van. a friend recomended Trans-medic Transmission and my van was fixed for only $88.00. it's been almost six months and we are still rolling smoothly........Thanks Trans-medic for being honest and helpful. This is the only shop that I have found in 25 years that can rebuild a 700R4 that went behind a diesel and worked. Really work. Cory is one of the greatest guys and stands behind his work 100%. This is a retraction from my earlier remarks. These guys are still in business with good intentions. Some mis-communications with a temp employee, i.e. not owners. Ended up having a new valve body installed to prevent another major overhaul because torque converter kept going into overdrive at low speeds. Unfortunately, another shop installed the valve body. Owners called back recently and were out of town when we initially called. The computers on the Ford Vans do not shift well, but they should have recommended new valve body in initial repair.
