Don't Stay Here 2/7/2009

I paid $1,045 for a three night stay here in a very modest room to attend the Sundance Film Festival. I had not heat in my room for the first 24 hours. When I complained, they told me I was lucky because they had "upgraded" my room. This was untrue. They were completely unwilling to give me a partial refund and were surly on top of that. Pros: location Cons: bad management and not well-maintained more

  • The Scene
Try as you might, it's virtually impossible to get any closer to the hub of the resort. These centrally located rooms are more spacious than they appear from the outside and feature mountain-style furniture and appointments. This is a ski-in/ski out property (how could it not be?), and both accommodation and the conference center overlook the ski lifts and an ice skating rink.

    The Details
Most of the rooms are actually two and three-bedroom condos, many of which offer the solace of steam rooms and jetted whirlpool tubs, as well as full kitchens. Upper rooms have dormer windows and attract a nice afternoon light, although they can give the feeling of lodging in an attic.
