I set an appt to have the nurse practitioner look at a persistant rash on my chin. I arrived at 3:10 for a 3:20 appointment, filled out my paperwork, and waited. And waited. And waited. I am not quite sure what right physicians' offices think they have to keep you waiting with no explanation. Finally at 4:05 I approached the front desk and said I had to leave for another meeting. She casually said, ""oh, yeah, she [the nurse practitioner] is running behind this afternoon"". I think it is rude and inconsiderate for any business to keep you waiting for 30, 40, 50 minutes. I typically try to schedule the 1st appt after lunch or 1st in the morning so I don't run into this problem, but I let my guard down this time. I will also remember to call before heading to the appointment to check to see if the practitioner is on time that day. This is not unique to this practice. However, I would expect an apology from them for wasting my time.
