I love this store! It's one of my favorites in Chicagoland. Better prices for fish, soy, and oils than regular stores. I feel so lucky to have this TJ's in my neck of the woods!...

Grocery Shopping is Fun! 5/19/2006

I really like shopping here--except on Sundays....never go shopping on Sundays---it's like a shark feeding frenzy. There is ample parking (except on Sundays), the bus stops right at the corner (whenever it comes), and much selection inside, from fresh food to prepared food to drinks to plants, etc. I like shopping here because everything you buy can be easily molded into a meal, rather than trying to remember a thousand ingredients in order to cook something. Prices are very good and I love the staff/cashiers! For the most part, they act as if they actually like their jobs! more

Great grocery store 3/30/2006

I'm a huge fan of Trader Joe's. They have such a variety of American, ethnic, and other foods, and their prices are pretty good. I've always stocked up on their freezer items, which are always very easy to make (I don't think anything really requires more than about 20 minutes in the oven). Try the gnocchi in the freezer section (heat it in a pan for seven minutes - it even includes the sauce!), and the pizzas are also great and unusual (like pesto pizza). Also, the cold section is good, where they have BBQ shredded chicken (yum!) and ready-to-go salads and wraps. They also have $3 wine - that's right, $3 wine. It's pretty good too! They also are always giving away samples, so use that as a chance to try a new item. more

Look at all that parking! 3/16/2006

It isn't a huge deal this far west, but it is nice to have a parking lot in these areas. Trader Joe's has better prices than a good amount of low budget food stores locally, and their produce is better. You might want to try the all fruit Popsicles. The strawberry is my favorite. Enjoy more

Great Organic Food at Low Prices 3/9/2006

If you've never been to Trader Joe's, RUN, do not walk there. Trader Joe's is a great market that offers all sorts of organic food, at healthy prices. Trader Joe's has a lot of their own labels, from frozen food to canned goods. Their simmer sauces are great and an easy way to make a great dinner. They have everything from frozen entrees to chickpea curry. Trader Joe's also has a great cheap wine selection that's pretty extensive. They also feature ready made items, such as salads. more

Budget friendly 3/8/2006

Trader Joe's carries a lot of specialty and organic items similar to Whole Foods, but the prices are much more reasonable. Trader Joe's is also ideal for a single person or people who don't cook elaborate meals. There are many prepared meals and snacks and most are healthy. The staff here are also refreshingly friendly, in a next-door-neighbor-where-there-are-no-property-rights-issues kind of way. Additionally, the selection of wine--inexpensive and still tasty--is phenomenal. My wine pick: Rene Barbier (?) Mediterranean Red. I believe it is less than $5 and is so juicy it pairs well with almost anything. more

Low prices on organic foods 7/19/2005

I love Trader Joe's. If I'm looking for natural or organic foods, I go here. They offer great quality for cheaper prices. The staff is always so friendly and helpful too. They have great snacks that are on the healthier side. They occasionally have samples out for the customers to try. Try Trader Joe's Pita Chips. They are the best. They have unique items that you won't find in other stores. more
