HORRIBLE! Gave me a confirmation I was good to go, never showed up. WHen I called... ""we don't have a.... oh wait... there it is"" When I asked when they could get to me, they responded with ""probably not for a while, I don't even know."" Are you serious? Stay away from these guys! more

I only gave 1 star cuz of no other options, but this taxi service is so terrible I wouldnt recomend unless u are seriously in need!! Called for a cab for 540 get outside at 540 n the jerk had the meter running already when I confronted him on this he said oh my clock says u were late so the meter was turned on I shouldv gotten out the cab but I had no choice then the a**hole despite me tellin him to go my way took another way cuz it would save more money ( yeah right!!) N by the time I got to work I ended up paying almost 3 bucks more than what I usually pay..n to top it off he added on another 40 cent to that which I'm told later by the dispatcher who was rude as hell that they can do that so I told him not to send that guy anymore I always have issues with him in particular but towne taxi as a whole operation sucks whoever runs this company should seriously look at who they hire viz these cab guys are doin wat they want any scheme just to get more money n its sad really..all the time more

Town Taxi - Awful, DONT USE 4/26/2012

Called Town Taxi for a taxi at 3:20 PM. Even thought the dispatcher woman was rude as all get out, she told me they'd be here in a half hour. I call back an hour later and she interrupts me before I can even ask what the problem is and says it'll be another 30 minutes but no more than an hour...Well I've been waiting TWO HOURS now. Oh and the wonderful review by mr. Edward Graham is by someone who works there. He's lying and probably being paid to do it. They don't do anything to accomodate customers. I'm stranded with my handicapped son right now bc they told me 30 minutes over 2 hours ago. If they had orignially said it would be over 2 hours, clearly I would not have booked a cab. The staff is completely rude and they clearly don't know whats going on. lets see what happens why I call for the THIRD time to see where my cab is..this time the dispacher screamed at me and I asked for a supervisor to which she put me through to a voicemail and claimed she was the only one there and couldnt get ahold of any drivers. I don't think thats 'accomodating cusomters"" as their Employee Edward Graham would say. What a crock. I've been sitting out here waiting on a cab for 3 hours now with my handicap son. The next time my car is in the shop I would rather scour my own boobies off with rusty SOS pads then call Town Taxi. I hope nothing horrible happens to their company and employees..bc you know accidents, they happen all the time...jus' sayin :) THEY ONLY GET 1 STAR BC 0 STARS ISNT AN OPTION DO NOT USE THEY'RE SCAMMERS AND RUDE more

BEST SERVICE EVER!!!!!! 7/5/2011

I live and work in Cincinnati, OH, but, I travel frequently back and forth to Chicago. I started taking Towne Taxi at the beginning of 2011 and have continued using the taxicab service ever since!!!! I can call the night before, or even a week before and they are always on time with professional drivers...NEVER WILL I USE YELLOW CAB AGAIN!!!!! THEY HAVE BURNED ME TIME AND TIME AGAIN!!!!!!! I called at 10:30 AM and booked a cab for Noon. The lady told me they would have someone here as close to noon as possible. It's 1:30 and still no cab. I called and the lady I spoke with in the morning told me she could tell me if she could get me a cab or not. She informed me she could not predict the future or make an educated guess. I would never recommend this company to a friend or an enemy. They do not deserve to remain in business. more

No dispatch 2/3/2011

I had been a long time customer of Towne Taxi, until yesterday. This was their 3rd strike for me. It was the 3rd time I had been stuck at Hyde Park Plaza Kroger unable to even get dispatch to answer the phone. I tried numerous times, put on hold, waiting over half an hour. I even tried calling from my cell while holding on Kroger's direct connect landline. This is un-excusable. When calling another service, I was told they couldn't service that area, and referred me back to Towne. I was stuck with frozen, and perishable worth over $130, until I finally called Ron's Taxi, who responded first ring, and was there within 15 mins. more

Worst taxi experience of my life! 11/25/2010

Had a VERY important interview the next day at 6:30 AM; hotel was a mere mile away but I knew it would be raining in the morning, so the Kingsgate Marriott suggested Towne Taxi. I don't know if there is a deal between the 2 companies, but there's certainly no way out of all the companies in the area I would EVER recommend towne taxi. I called the night before the interview to reserve a taxi for ""6 AM SHARP the next morning."" I made it very clear that I needed the taxi at exactly 6 AM. Fast forward to the next morning at 6:05 AM. Not to be OCD, but needing to be sure, I called the company to insure that my reservation had gone through, and the clerk at the other end snottily assured me it'd be there in 5 minutes. TEN minutes later, now 6:15, there was still no cab. I called back, stating that I needed the cab at 6 AM SHARP and it was now 15 MINUTES LATE. The rude clerk said, ""I need you to be more patient. The cab is across town with business and will get there in a few minutes."" What's the point of reserving a cab if it's still business as usual and you can go pick up other customers at leisure?!?! The cab finally arrived at 6:21--with only 9 minutes to get to the building and specific room of my interview which was at promptly 6:30!! This is so unbelievable!! Who runs a business like this!? I would never ever use this cab company again. If you need to get somewhere in a timely fashion, call them at your own risk and likely detriment. I'd give 0/5 stars if I could. more

Towne Taxi - Horrible; never depend on it. 10/11/2010

Most horrible experience. I booked a cab to drop my 3yr old in school at 9 Am ,they kept me waiting untill 9:50 Am. At 9:45 the doors close. The kid was crying since she was all dressed up and cudn't go to school...very sad experience. They are not commited, the call center people are very rude. Hopeless Towne Taxi. Never depend on it. more

A horrible place that shouldn't be in business 12/21/2009

When I called Towne Taxi, I was looking around for a taxi company that specifically serviced the Beechmont Avenue area. I was also looking for someone that took credit cards. The man on the phone assured me that they no question did both. I was happy at this point, because they were exactly what I was looking for. I had a quick reality check when a ""10-15 wait"" for the taxi to show up turned into over 1 hour. At one point the taxi driver called me, had no idea where I was (even though I gave a specific address), and hung up on me before I could describe to him how to get there. I waited another ten minutes - in the cold - and had to flag him down in the middle of the street. Upon getting in the taxi, he had no idea where my departure point was, and was openly upset about ""having to come all the way out here"". Wait, didn't they say they serviced this area? Yes, they did. The worse part, however, was that when I got to my my departure point, the cab driver refused to call in my credit card (said it would take too long), and forced me to go to an ATM to get him cash instead. Mind you, not only didn't I have to go to an ATM that wasn't my bank, but I had to go inside a grocery store, get change, and finally get back to my destination. A five minute car ride turned into an hour and a half, and I was forced to pay for the miles to the ATM machine and back, even though I did not want to go there in the first place. As you can imagine, I was furious, and later called them back to complain, and got no sympathy. This is an absolutely horrible company that honestly, shouldn't even think about being in business. Not worth the wait 4/9/2009

Before I saw this listing, I began to wonder if maybe Towne Taxi might be based out of another state, one in a different time zone. I couldn't imagine any other reason why their drivers were perpetually late (by 20+ minutes-EVERY TIME!!). I work for a large office that held a corporate account with Towne Taxi, and we gave them a ton of business, but apparently it was not enough to get them here on time. The operators were rude, and unappologetic, and would never even answer the phone until after it had rang for at least 2 minutes. That must be a part of their great customer service training. I could understand if it was 2 am and the phone rang continuously, but these instances all occur between noon and 5 pm! Their excuse is always a snotty retort of ""well, we're busy."" Well, then hire some more operators! Perhaps the reason they have neglected to add more operators to take calls is because they are losing business because their service is a total joke! Besides being late and rude, they can never find the correct address - and they come to our offices at least once a week! We had a large meeting last month and needed 5 cabs in one day - only one came to the correct address! If you're looking for a reliable cab in Cincinnati, I suggest looking elsewhere, unless of course you enjoy being late for your flight/event and being treated as though you are not worth their time.
