Touch Supper Club closed about 18 months ago. And now it's reopening, and from what I understand, there really have not been any changes. Which is good, because Touch was great the way it was. (Though the kitchen could have just left and I would not have noticed.)
Touch was a great little place to dance when it was open. It hosted some great dj's, had some great nights and attracted a nice group of "heads" from back in the day. Sure, it had it's cosmo swillin', cell phone conversing types here and there, but overall, the mix and the vibe were both good.
The drinks were average priced, but you really came to dance, didn't you? There were times when the basement was not open, and that was when it was not fun.
So, here's to hoping Touch is everything it was and everything we all want it to be. See you there!
Update March 2006:
It is everything it was, I'm happy to report. Nitty Gritty nights have been good old skool nights out and the guest djs are always good. Worth the $5 cover when they're charging it.
