Best

I didn't think I could love this joint more until they remodeled recently. It's even cozier with the addition of comfy chairs around the fireplace, and they've opened it up so the...

The service was by far the worst thing about ToST--rude and unfriendly to the point it made me leave. (To say the service was slow would be an understatement because the staff of ...

Aaaaah. Chill. 4/20/2006

I went to Tost when it first opened and it quickly became my favorite bar. The bartender at the time was incredibly entertaining and I felt like I belonged (like Cheers only no one yelled my name when I went in and I usually was one of five people). Once I stopped drinking I stopped going to Tost...and there was a band that I didn't care for either. Then my bartender left. But the fact that it was hip to not smoke before the whole law thing was great too. And don't forget their great food. I might even go back just for that. Great place to have a conversation... 3/28/2006

The atmosphere is great - sort of a chill, NYC-esque lounge feel and the drinks are stiff and reasonably priced. I was there on a Monday night and hung out on the couch in next to the fireplace in the front of the space. It's a fantastic spot to cozy up to someone fun ;) They also have great pizzas and great happy hour deals. Highly recommended. more

Shake it...don't stir! 3/19/2006

Tost might be my favorite Fremont bar. I love their martini drinks, and they aren’t too overpriced. The space does seem a bit cavernous, but if you can find seating it is really quite cozy. Tost is a really good music venue, and I have greatly enjoyed hearing music here on weekends. Highly preferable to the High Dive next door! more

Swanky Somerville 2/5/2006

The Toast Lounge is a far cry from your typical Somerville dive bar. It is situated in an underground cavern and makes patrons feel as if they've stepped into a secret hipster spot. Upscale drinks and pub fare items round out this urban-cool theme. The crowd here tends to be professional, but it does not get busy until Friday and Saturday nights. The staff here seems a little snooty which is so out-of-character with other neighborhood bars. All in all, it's okay for a drink if you feel like being a little more upscale and not heading into the city of Boston. more
