DO NOT EAT AT TOMATILLO's unless you like raw meat and manager's that argue with customers! They served me a barely cooked picadillo meat taco. Unfortunately, I had already eatten...

My family loves Tomatillos Cafe! 3/29/2006

We eat at Tomatillos whenever we are in the area and we have never been disappointed. The food is awesome and they have the best margaritas! My favorite is the blue margarita on the rocks, so good! The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and even though it is always packed we have never had to wait long for a table, a big plus for parents with small children. more

I LOVE Tomatillos as does the rest of my family. The food is delivered to your table hot and fresh and the margaritas are "to die for"!! I generally order the chicken chimichanga with Tomatilla sauce and if the family has room we get a fried ice cream to share! I have never had a bad meal here and when extended family comes to visit from out of state, this is one of the first places I think to take them to eat. The portions are large and sauces fresh. You can even watch them make flour tortillas. My son loves the refried beans. Fajita's, quesadillas...all rank among my favorite dishes here. Try Tomatillos!! You won't be disappointed!! I think I'll go there today!! YUM! more

Excellent food and fast service 8/12/2005

A friend recommended this restaurant, and we eat here just about every time we go to San Antonio. Great food & reasonable prices & portions. What impresses me the most is that even the refried beans are homemade - not from the can like most other mexican food restaurants. Definitely a place to try out next time you are in the area. more
