Tokyo Sushi

My boyfriend and I typically go to a few other popular sushi restaurants but decided to branch out and try some other places closer to where we moved. We first tried OH Sushi but when we walked in no one looked at us and we received terrible service so we left and on our way passed Tokyo Sushi...I was pretty skeptical when I saw it and walked in but we were greeted with a huge smile and friendly welcome. I was overly impressed by the sushi...its very fresh and very good! Our favorites are: the Mars Roll, Mt. Rock, The Tokyo Big Roll, & Funky Vegas. Even better...weekdays these are 3 for $25 or there are others for 3 for $18. I think that the service is great...the main waitress is very friendly. Service can be slow if its busy because it is completely run by the family. The father (&son) roll the sushi and the daughter is the main waitress..sometimes the mother helps (she's kind of quiet) To show how much we love this place...we first came here a month ago and have been back 5x since! This small, family owned sushi joint focuses mostly on rolls and sashimi, in what appears to be an old Arby's or something along those lines, is on the busy corner of 7th East and 33rd South, and is easy to miss, but regrettable if you do. Pros: Cheap Sushi Cons: Not a lot of Decor more

This is our favorite restaurant. My husband & I come here often. The only time it's been busy was Valentines Day. It is a family business & we see the same people everytime. Pros: Fantastic Rolls Cons: Check your bill more

I went with a group of friends and we were the only ones in the restaurant but the owner gave us an attitude like she didn't want us there in the first place, it seem like we were wasting her time or something. She sat us down and told us we had to order and get our food before our other friends came, we thought it was really ridiculous. The waitress was really nice but the whole time the owner was giving us dirty looks. The sushi was okay some of it tasted really old and not fresh fish. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone!!
