Warning! -- watch out for overcharging! 12/23/2010

I've been in the restaurant 3 times so far. Food is acceptable. Service is very slow though, even asking for check will take them 5 or 6 minutes to get it. Today we ordered 2 dishes, when we got the bill they were overcharged by $1 and $2 respectively!! I've never seen something like before. So if you go there, be careful and numbers on your bill. more

Nice bento box 3/2/2009

Bento/set lunches are great deals and very delicious. Pretty good Japanese in the Bellevue area. Their donburis and udon bowls are decent too. Gets busy during lunch time and lack of parking spaces are little bit annoying. But good restaurant. more

I've been here 4 times in 4 years 8/31/2006

The first two times 4 years ago i was not impressed. We had just moved up from Portland and were searching for a replacement to our favorite place in Beaverton. Both of these times the food was good, but it was not what I was used to. Both times we went for dinner right at 7. Service was sluggish and strained. Combine that with limited parking, as there are 3-5 places that all use the same lot. We decided to try other places. Fast forward 4 years, and I find myself living in factoria. My wife said let’s try it again. So the 4 of us, My wife and I, my 3 year old daughter, and 2 year old son go in at 7:30. We are seated within two min. Our ordering was prompt. Food was good, much better than I had found locally since my first two visits. It’s highly Americanized in parts of the menu. However I was able to order some of my more traditional favorites. Both of them were very good. My only concern is the cost of the dinner meals. I thought it was quite high. The next week while the grandparents had our kids we met there for lunch. The luch menu was good, portions were also ample. We enjoyed ourselves greatly, the sushi was good. Not top notch but good. It was consistent with our previous exp. Better than 80% of the other places, but not like my favorite Beaverton shop. Sigh… I’m still working on the owner. I think I almost have him convince to move up here. The lunch meal cost was IMHO far better than the dinner prices. Will I continue to go there. Yeah I will for lunch when I have the time. We arrived just after they opened, and it was packed 5 min after we were seated. So be early. more

Yummy Rolls! 4/5/2006

I love sushi! I've been frequenting Tokyo's for Japanese food over the past week! Their portions are huge and the serivce is exceptional! I was greeted when I arrived and when I left the wait staff and chef would say thank you and bow. So cool. My favorite dish there is the beef sukiyaki and nabeyaki udon. If you love sushi rolls, they have a huge selection of it! I highly recommend this place. more

Great sushi joint in Factoria 4/3/2006

We went to Tokyo on a Saturday night around 6pm - we made reservations so we had no trouble getting a table. There is actually a lot of space inside - I'm sure we wouldn't have had any trouble if we hadn't had made reservations. There were 8 of us including a 3 yr old and 3 month old and we were seated at a nice big table. The place was great for big groups and families - I noticed a lot of children who weren't turning their noses up at the food. The chicken teriyaki was great for the 3 yr old at our table. We ordered a big platter of pretty much everything and I loved it all. Not the best sushi I've ever had, but pretty darn good. I will say that the parking was awful. They share a parking lot with The Keg, Applebees, and QFC. We drove around for awhile stalking people to get their spot - it wasn't pretty. more

Tokyo for Lunch 4/2/2006

Tokyo Japanese Restaurant in Factoria is a great place to grab a lunch. Parking is extremely tight and seating inside the restaurant can be cramped as well. But your patience is rewarded with a tasty and cost effective Bento box that will leave you ready for the second half of the day. more

Solid Sushi on the East Side 11/26/2005

Ate there last night and had a good meal. No frills but the quality of the fish was pretty good and the service attentive. There are better places for sushi in the Seattle area but if you're on the East Side and jonesing for a little raw fish, Tokyo's not a bad bet. more
