Good Food -- Expensive Drinks! 3/1/2007

I love Toby Keith so when my husband and I were in LV last week we decided to try it. We went for an early dinner (around 5:30). We were seated right away and the table service was okay. Only suggestion is that a warning should be given as to the astronomical price of a drink in the souvenir cup ($21.99) -- I was only warned about the large size not the large price tag. It turned out that my plastic cup cost more than my dinner. At least our meal was good -- I especially loved the mashed sweet potatoes. Pros: Food, Music, Atmosphere Cons: Expensive Drinks more

Ver good food! Great entertainment by the bartenders! 1/18/2007

A friend, my husband, son and myself all visited right before Christmas 2006. We went about 2:30 in the afternoon and were seated right away. Music (Toby's of course!), atmosphere (kinda like Hard Rock, but all Toby), videos (mostly Toby) were great. My son enjoyed looking at all the memorbilia, listening to the music and watching the tvs. Food was very good; alcoholic drinks can be expensive. Service was very friendly, but slow. The bartenders made up for it though. Don't know if it was something that goes on usually...but they were giving out shots called ""bl--jobs"" and out of something very bright colored and life like. The bartenders played it all it up and everyone was laughing and having a great time. Watching the older aged (probably in the mid 50's to early 60's) group at the next table take this all in was hysterical! The bartenders were up on the bars, flipping bottles, etc. Kinda like a country ""Coyote Ugly"" meets ""Cocktail"" gig. At one point they offered a free shot until they were gone (can't pass that invite up right?). My husband and I play league pool weekly and all we thought was, ""boy would this be a fun place at night on a weekly basis"". If this was what the mid afternoon was like...too bad we didn't get to experience late night! Pros: good food, friendy service, bartenders interacted with clients, seated quickly Cons: slow service more

Fun Theme Restaurant 1/8/2007

I took my two boys (15 and 13) to Toby Keith's I love this Bar and Grill last week. It is a little hard to find. The signage to get there is not great. Clear in the back of the casino and upstairs by the tram. My 15 year old son is a huge Toby Keith fan so I had to take him there. We had a great time. Even though my younger son is NOT a country fan he loved it (especially the server's). There was a lot going on at the bar. Good times for some party. The food was very good for a theme restaurant. It was a little pricey. I had fish and chips (spicy tartar sauce), my son's had ribs and chicken. They really liked their food. Great fries! My son said the ribs were the best he had ever had. We went for a early dinner. I'm sure it can get crazy later. The server's and busser's were very good for the time of day we went. Drink refills, more water, extra napkins and boxes were brought without waiting. Go with the thought that it is a theme restaurant and Toby will not be there and you won't be disappointed. Busier and louder as the night goes on! Enjoy we did! Pros: Fun place with good food Cons: Hard to find, a little pricey. more

WE LOVE THIS BAR!!!!!! 1/1/2007

My husband and I make a point to visit as often as we can every time we come to Vegas! Every single time we come, we get the most awesome attention. Brandon (with the freckles) and Shaun bend over backwards to make sure we are taken care of. Do I care that a martini costs me 10 bux? Heck no, the care in which is it served is superb. I wish like hell they'd open a Toby's here in Arizona!!!!! Good job folks, you are awesome, and have made Toby's our favorite hanging place in all of Las Vegas. more

I LIKE This Bar 11/6/2006

I have been to I Love This Bar about 5 times. The food is good, I've had the hamburger which was okay nothing to write home about. Although their pulled pork sandwich was pretty good. The fries are tasty and they have Pepsi on tap which is a nice change from coke. The Nachos are huge a loaded good for a group of people. Pros: Decent food, seated quickly more

Good music, expensive drinks 10/24/2006

There aren't many signs that indicate where this bar is in the hotel so you have to be on the lookout or ask the right person. The band plays primarily country although they mix other stuff in as well and is very good. However, the drinks are completely overpriced. $6.00 for Coors Light and $8.00 for shots are not what you'd expect from a Country Bar especially when you have Gilley's a few hotels over appealing to the country crowd and offering $3.50 beer. Pros: Music Cons: Drink Prices more

I LOVED THIS BAR AND GRILL!!!!!!!!!!! 7/19/2006

I went to toby's last week with a bunch of my girlfriends and we had the best night of our trip!!! The staff were all busy, but still took the time to make us feel special. Being in the food industry, I know that is a very fine line, and they walked it perfectly. The ribs and burgers were great and the signature drinks were even better. The band was HOT too! To top it all off the male bartenders entertained us all night with incredible bottle flips and tricks and gave us everyone in the bar free shots when they played I LOVE THIS BAR. Awesome experience and I cannot wait to go back!!!!! more

Second Visit - More Disappointment 5/24/2006

This is the second time I visited and the second time I posted about this place. The first time was mixed - this time is flat out bad. We stopped in for drinks and the service was BEYOND horrible. It took us 15 minutes to even attract the bartenders attention in spite of the fact she was standing two feet away from us chatting with other staff. Once we did she was unfriendly and treated us like we were bothering her. We never got another drink offer after the first one. The music may be good, but I will never go there again. Pros: Music Cons: Very Poor Service more

User review by coprob 5/15/2006

Way overpriced--$6/beer. We are locals and planned on spending an enjoyable night dancing to COUNTRY music on the large dancefloor. Turned into a rock concert with those fans crowding the stage and taking over the dancefloor with their bics lit up -- much like a concert. Most people come to this place expecting Country music. Please take other music to other venues. Also, please keep your kids out of the bar and dance floor. Pros: Lively, Country house band? Cons: $6 Beer, Rock concert more

Long Wait for Service, Food good. 2/8/2006

Looking for a place for my husband big brithday bash, I loved the big dance floor and lots of seating. My husband, daughter and I went their for lunch to check it out. We were seated right away, but then waited for 20 minutes before anyone came up to the booth we were seated it, which by the way was right next to the kitchen area where the waitresses passed by. We were just getting ready to leave when a waitress came up to take our order. After that the service became better, margaritas and food were good. Probably, will not do his birthday party at this restaurant because of the long wait. We will give the place another chance, maybe an evening outing to hear the band as my friends tell me it great place for dancing. Pros: close to parking lot, good food, good music Cons: l;ong wait for servic more

recommend 1/31/2006

my husband and i were in l.v. last week and ate at toby's place. we arrived at 5pm and were promptly seated. the restaurant was not at all crowded, although as the evening wore on it became more so. i did not notice anyone waiting very long for service. i had the fried bologna sandwich and my husband had the meatloaf sandwich. both were very good, as were the fries served with them. the prices were very good for vegas - i would highly recommend this restaurant for any age. my only question is, what's with the skewers with the olives and peppers stuck in the sandwiches? not necessary and the presentation wasn't enhanced. Pros: good price, prompt service more

Toby's Rock 12/11/2005

Went to Vegas in November. First night went to eat at Toby Keith's I love this bar & Grill. The food was pretty good, the drinks a tad pricey but I guess that's what you get in vegas, Stayed to hear the band that Monday night. They rocked the house. We were expecting country seeing as it was a Toby's and all. But the band played southern rock. Pleasant surprise! Southern Stue was the name, they gave us free tee shirts. My wife wears it to bed. All night she was screaming I love this band & grill. Went to a lot of places during our stay but the first night there was the best. Great atmosphere. more

Terribly understaffed... 12/2/2005

Visited 11/25/2005. Sat at bar waiting for a seat over 10 mins with no service along with another couple that was there before us and another that arrived just after us. The two female bartenders would not make eye contact. We flagged a stock guy who got us drinks finally. Called us for seating and after seating we waited another 10 mins without any waitress response so we got up and left, noting to the reception gal they were understaffed, which she agreed..... Toby would have been ashamed.... Cons: Service more

We Love that bar 11/28/2005

My family and I were in vegas for Thanksgiving. We went to Toby's I Love This Bar the first night we were there. We loved it. The food was great and the band rocked out. We had such a good time that we brought more family the next night, and more family members the night after that. We were very pleased. The only thing we didn't like was the $30.00 per person minium to sit by the band because we spent over $100.00 a piece and we shouldn't be told how much money we have to give them. Pros: Great Music, Great Food, Fair Prices Cons: $30.00 minimum more

Home Cooking 11/16/2005

We couldn't wait til Toby's opened, nothing like it in LV. We are from the South, we enjoy country music and home cooking. The waitress was not the friendliest we have ever encountered. The portions of entrees were large but not the best cooking I have had. The ribs & chicken fried steak were good, but the meatloaf was worse than Stouffer's frozen meatloaf. The corn bread and the coating on the fried orka were dry, and who fries okra whole? The turnip greens were different from what I am used too, but still good. The mashed potatoes were good also. My question when looking at the menu was ""where is the fried chicken""? What is southern cooking without fried chicken? Maybe ya'll should consult Toby's Grandma or Mama for some good recipes !! We are willing to give it another try on our next trip and hope for improvments. Pros: atmoshpere, prices ok Cons: some food, waitress, long wait for food more

Best place not to eat 10/29/2005

It looked great from inside and out. The waitress was beautiful and slow as mud. Good thing she brought out tiny portions and crappy food. I am country and that was garbage. I almost had a nose bleed from all of the salt. The music videos and the music were out of sync. Poor management. What a shame. If he gets a manager and a chef then maybe I will go back. Pros: Looked great, Great Feel Cons: Poor Service, Poor Food, Bad management more

I Love This Bar & Grill!!!! 10/26/2005

My friends and I went to Vegas for a bacholerette party and a couple of us just happened upon Toby's I Love This Bar and Grill. The country band that was playing, the Tony Marques Band, was incredible. We had so much fun that we went back there for lunch the next day. Not only did we receive great service but the food was great too. Of course we went back that very same night to see the Tony Marques Band again!! I would highly recommend this place to anyone who is out for a great time!! Pros: Great Music, Great Food, Great Service Cons: None, None, None more

What a disappointment 10/12/2005

I was in Las Vegas on business last week, the company would have payed for any restaurant I wanted, so I chose Toby's. What a disappointment! It looked like a cafeteria with Toby's pictures and guitars on the wall. It looked nothing like a bar anyone would love. The service was slow, the food ok, but the music was a local band playing their own songs! I chose poorly, I hope you do not make the same mistake I did. The gift shop was a bigger rip off then the restaurant! If you need to see it, walk through and keep going. Cons: Misleading, cold, sell out more

User review by jencol 9/15/2005

I tried to go to Toby Keith's restaurant, I waited 20 minutes for a table (they weren't even busy). Then, once I was seated, I waited another 30 minutes. Still no server. A server did walk by, but she said nothing to us & ignored us when we tried to get her attention. At this point, we walked out. Still, nobody said a thing to us. Not even the hostess that seated us (she also walked past us as we were waiting for a server). I work in the restaurant business. This is no way to treat your customers. I flew to Vegas to go to this restaurant, & let me tell you, it was not worth it. Also, do not buy anything in the gift shop. My shirt fell apart the first time I tried to wear it. What a great expierence! Cons: no service, no service, poor quality more
