My fiance & I are new to Atlanta, but we were very fortunate to discover Tin Lizzy's our first week in town. The food is great (I like the BBQ Chicken Tacos/he loves the Skillets)...

We at at Tin Lizzy's in Grant Park for the first time last night. Cool place, good friendly wait staff and the Three Amigos sampler was good except for the salsa, which was awful...

Editorial review from Citysearch 6/15/2013

The absolute worse service that I have ever received in my life! My waitress walked by my table and literally ignored us five times as we walked around and asked anyone who could help us for service. During our sixth attempted of ""excuse me"" she comes back to the table and not say ""how can I help you"" but instead, rudely ""my name is Clara""... Then proceeds to put her finger in my face as she argues we us. After asking for her manager three times and her still putting her finger in my face I indeed called her out of her name. She then begins to scream ""get out"" as if she is starring in a new Atlanta Reality Show! \r \r I was very taken back by this experience. I have been coming to Tin Lizzy's for years and have always had great customer service. I have clients that come to town that request Tin Lizzy's because they enjoyed the service and experience the last time that I brought them there. And to be treated in this manner is Extremely Disturbing. \r \r The manager finally was notified and was very nice. After hearing the entire story she did her best to resolve our issues. I do not blame the Management or Owners for the ignorance of a Crazy Employee. Nonetheless, Tin Lizzy's will never see my business again. more

Editorial review from Citysearch 8/29/2012

HORRIBLE!!! The Buckhead location has an employee that identifies hemself as a manager but will not give you his name. He was extermly rude and does not belong in the hospitality industry. This lil 25$ voucher that was mailed as a peace offering I will give to the next needy person I see. If Tin Lizzy's policy is for a manager to behave this way every location has lost my business! more

In the ghetto 3/31/2010

There is another restaurant at 415 Memorial Dr. in Atlanta. The owner of the places, and the police, are very aware that the restaurant is in the ""ghetto"". However, they feel like it is a waste of time and money to try to protect those who choose to patronize their establishment. I was there with my boyfriend yesterday, and his car was broken into in broad daylight! No one ever tried to find out who the car belonged to, even though they were aware of the situation. there were ATL police there, and they also did not do anything about it. This was my first and last time ever going to this awful place, and I urge anyone reading this to never go there. They are obviously only concerned about making money and not about taking care of their customers. Please, find somewhere else to get cheap beer and crappy food. Pros: Nothing Cons: Lots of car break-ins more

Good food...Terrible service 1/14/2010

If you are looking for a place to ""hang out"" and have a few beers, margaritas and decent ""bar food"" this place is for you, but DO NOT expect the service to be good. The place is always crowded, especially at the bar. Most of the waitresses are obviously products of GA gov't skools because they are not too bright and most of the time time have the attitude of ""I don't care"". Be sure you make them write down your order, not ""memorize it"". Parking sucks, but at least they do not make you pay to park and then have ""tip"" the valet.... Pros: Food, prices, atmosphere Cons: Terrible service, crowded, parking more

Good times 12/18/2009

Not a bad place, if you don't mind waiting for a drink. The bartenders and waitresses are very nice, and hot, but you have to wait a bit for them to get back to you. Andy is a really nice guy (he's also cute, so that helps). The food is excellent and the margaritas are strong, what more could one want? Pros: Cute servers Cons: Slow service more

atlanta hotspot! 7/6/2009

My fiance & I are new to Atlanta, but we were very fortunate to discover Tin Lizzy's our first week in town. The food is great (I like the BBQ Chicken Tacos/he loves the Skillets), the prices are very reasonable & the staff are all upbeat/friendly (be sure to ask for Lauren or Katherine- both are great servers)! We highly recommend this hotspot to everyone we meet...although it doesn't seem to be a secret to most locals. more

Horrible Hole in the wall 5/5/2009

Andy McKoski was rude and ignored our customer concerns. This was our first and last visit. I will be telling everyone I know about how horrible the management is here and to not waste they're time of money in this place of business. Cons: managment was not helpful and rude more

Disappointment 1/21/2009

We at at Tin Lizzy's in Grant Park for the first time last night. Cool place, good friendly wait staff and the Three Amigos sampler was good except for the salsa, which was awful, it tasted like it came out of a jar. Beyond those things mentioned above, this place isn't anything special. Limited menu with predominantly taco's. I had 2 veggie tacos which were very bland and some of the rice was undercooked. I ate them but only after I doctored them up with queso and guacamole from the Three Amigo's sampler. My husband got a BBQ shrimp taco and a Philly Cheese Steak taco. He was disappointed with the amount of filling in the tacos (too little) as well as with the undercooked rice. We left pretty disappointed. I suppose if you just want to grab a beer and a taco this place might be alright, but if you actually want to eat good taco's for dinner I'd suggest someplace else - like Six Feet Under ( just down the street) or Taqueria Del Sol. Pros: Friendly wait staff Cons: Food more

Nice addition to Grant Park! 1/13/2009

Went to Tin Lizzys in Grant Park last night. They have created a sports bar and family restaraunt atmosphere in Grant Park which was definitely needed! The bar scene was very good as well for a Tuesday night. The service was very fast and friendly. The food was good but the tacos were over priced. Comparing the tacos to Taco Mac or Taqueria Del Sol, they seemed smaller and more expensive. more

take it or leave it.... 6/19/2008

This place was pretty cool atmosphere, but overall there wasn't anything special about it. There was a pretty limited menu, like queso and chips, and a bunch of american style tacos. Not very much Mexican about the place, so if you want more authentic stuff, go somewhere else. If you want enchiladas, or chimichangas, or burritos, they don't have those either (Not to say those are authentic Mexican). I was in the mood for a changa myself, and ended up leaving after the chips and a margarita. Pros: drinks, service, atmosphere Cons: food choices more

Best neighborhood Taco-ria BAR! 5/21/2007

I am also a neighbor of the ""TL."" I am from a variety of the ""best' places on earth, Maui, San Diego, Vail, and now Atlanta. I have experienced every style and level of Tex-mex and Ameri-Mex bar and restaurant that there is to expierence, and personally I LOVE this one. When ""RATING"" a bar/restaurant like this you have to rate it for what it is: 1. this is a bar/taco-ria, 2. this is mexican food not french cuisine (NO disrespect intended, I LOVE Mexican food), 3. do not compare this to your local eatery that caters to local high-end expectitations just because of its location in Buckhead. Take it for what it is? What it is is........... A great place to enjoy a drink with friends and food that is GREAT for the price level of the ""local"" eateries. The service is great and the cheese dip is an addiction that you will soon need to receive treatment for!!! I highly recommend that you enjoy the experience at the TL on their large deck and listen to the live music while the weather is nice! Pros: Everything Cons: Bathrooms more

Sure, I am a regular at the TL. Isn't everybody who is successful and good looking? 5/4/2007

As someone who is originally from Atlanta and back in town as a young professional, let me say first that this is a great spot! It has a small town feel in a big city. (Cheers theme song comes to mind). Every time I go I start out with the guacamole dip and the cheese dip. There are several salsa and cheese dips to choose from, but my personal favorite is a cheese dip with fajita marinated peppers and onions in it (to die for). It's real cheese unlike most ""Mexican"" restaurants where it drips like water off your chips. The chips have this seasoning on them to add a little bit extra flavor. Not sure what it is actually (sounds bad I know) but I do know it's good. I have never ordered something I didn?t like either. Taco choices cover every range of your taste from fish tacos to fajita steak tacos. The staff is always very attentive and personable. I worked in restaurants for 8 years and recognize good service. To the gentlemen who gave the review before me: a pitcher of house margaritas is $15. I don't know what happened, but you had to have added something. I would try again. Third time is a charm! Also, now that it is warm outside they are bringing great live music out on the patio (yes good patio too). I highly recommend Tin Lizzy?s for a fun night out especially if you want to meet great people. Oh and ask for Brandy, she will take good care of you! -Kristin more

Yuck 4/17/2007

This was one of those restaurants I promised myself i would never go back to again. I went back and had an even worse experience. The first time, our server tidied up other tables while my girlfriend and I sit at our table for about 10 minutes before she came over. Albeit was a fairly new restaurant when I went, she had no idea what was on the menu. We ordered some chips and cheese dip that would be lucky to be called average(they were nasty, thick chips, and how do you mess up cheese dip?). We ordered a nice little variety of taco's, maybe 4 different kinds to sample from... all of them were AWEFUL. The next time we went we were surprised to learn a regular pitcher of margarita's(no grand marnier or anything) cost almost $30. To you, by this point looking at my review it probably just looks like I'm bashing them but I must explain I am just a neighbor of the restaurant looking for something new on citysearch and find that this place has a rating of 9. For you to go to this restaurant thinking anything about it would be worthy of a 9 would be a mistake. Pros: Location Cons: Food, Prices, Service, Little Parking more

Cheap Casual Fun in Buckhead 3/5/2007

Friends and I frequent Tin Lizzys for cheap food and drinks. Soft tacos (especially steak!) are delicious. Not a huge fan of the skillets though, theyre sloppy and dont have much meat in them. Pros: Food/drinks, prices, staff Cons: Parking can be a pain more

great spot for drinks and cheap good tasting bar food 8/22/2006

I was there on a Friday after work and there was already crowd the time we left around 9PM it was packed. I had a couple of the taco's, I think it was the cajun taco so obviously this isnt authentic Mexican food but its still good for the money spent. Plenty of good looking people in the place. There was also live music on the patio and I have to compliment the decision not to turn the amp up to 11 like most people that play on a were actually able to talk in a normal voice and able to enjoy the music. Will definitely be returning. Pros: value, nice patio, plenty of attractive people Cons: no cigarette machine more

Great Food, good bar. 8/6/2006

Great food. Hard to find better mexican food in buckhead. Pros: Food, people, bar Cons: not many more

Fun Neighborhood Hotspot! 6/13/2006

Love the atmosphere and location (except for parking). The food is pretty good, but to pay for chips and salsa when you can go to any Tex or Mex place in town and have it for free is pretty hard to the guacamole, salsa, cheese dip, quesidillas...the salad needs a little work...for the $. Pros: Ambience, Convenience Cons: Pay for Chips/Salsa, Fair Margaritas more

One of my favorites 5/17/2006

Delicious food and even more delicious bartenders!! Seriously though they have great soft tacos, guac and cheese dip. The fried pickles are just decadent. Only thing that really needs help are the margaritas but they have a full bar so you really can't complain about that. And $2 dos equis on tuesdays is fab. Pros: food, atmosphere Cons: small more
