If I had it to do all over again I would talk my grandmother out of sending my grandfather here for rehabilitation. The food was poor and they had my grandfather literally squished in the corner of this tiny room. He was in there for rehabilitation of his foot. He was suppose to come home but he never did. He suddenly became ill. He had a swallowing problem they did not catch. They thought he was just complaining about the food and gave him pureed to stop him from complaining.
For someone getting physical therapy I'd like to know how he had a bed sore. Not to mention he had a boil on his toe where he had been operated on. Instead of coming home in 3 days he was rushed to Monroe Regional where he was put in ICU. They tried very hard to save him there but the problems he had were just too far gone at this point that he passed away on us very quickly. We had no idea he was that ill and either did the nurses at Timberidge. I know one of the home care agencies out there gave him staph. His foot was operated on because he had merca in the toe as a result of the staph. Maybe he was just another old man to them but he was my grandfather. I don't know how he could have all of these problems and them not see any of this. Or they did and just ignored it. Instead of him coming home like he was suppose to we got a bad phone call. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. We still have no idea what really got him except we do know he had a terrible infection. I think he still had the same kind of infection and they just never got it. Nobody wanted to take responsibility. Nobody would be straight up with us. Nothing like passing the buck.
