Eye Specialists Center is a multi-doctor, full-service ophthalmology practice serving both children and adults, with four locations in Chicagoland (Chicago Ridge, Orland Park, Hinsdale) and Northwest Indiana (Munster). Patient appointments are available from Monday to Saturday, including evening and same-day visits. Eye Specialists Center is the evolution of the practice started in 1957 by Karl E. Ticho, MD and has grown to include three additional partners: (Dr. Karl?s son) Benjamin H. Ticho, MD, Jonathan Buka, MD and Alexander J. Khammar, MD. They are all board-certified ophthalmologists, sometimes known as "Eye MDs" because they are medical doctors. The practice also includes several other doctors, and has an in-house optical department for patients? convenience.
Eye Specialists Center focuses on the treatment of cataracts, diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma, refractive surgery, adult and pediatric strabismus (improperly aligned eyes), oculoplastics, and neuro-ophthalmology. It is the only practice in Northwest Indiana, and one of the few practices in Chicagoland, featuring a fellowship-trained pediatric ophthalmologist.
