great lounge, average food and not much more in this park avenue institution. go to see and be seen. Pros: nice lounge Cons: no parking, too big more

No Fun At All! :( 10/4/2005

I had my brithday here and they were being stuck up about who can come in i had mostly my female friends to come in and the bouncer wouldnt let them in and they agreed they can come in. Bad Service all together had no fun at all - 20/100 Pros: Music Ok Cons: Bad Service, Unfriendly Staff, Bad Bouncers more

just okay 9/26/2005

the food here is just okay. the drinks were good. the wait staff were nice. to me, i would just stop here for a drink or two. i rather go somewhere else for a good meal. too much college kids and tourist. Pros: drinks are okay, nice wait staff Cons: too crowded, food is bland more

Drink, but don't eat here 7/27/2005

Not a bad bar/club. Just don't come here for lunch or dinner. The food and service are below average. Pros: atmosphere, decor Cons: food not good, service poor more

The Lemon is far from being a lemon! 4/16/2005

You should really visit this place. I visited this place for dinner and for dancing. The food is really good. The service is great. The nightlife here is really alive! You will find 20-somethings dancing the night away on Saturday nights to a really cool DJ. Plenty of seating yet plenty of dance space. Clean, the drinks won't burn a hole in your pocket and the neighborhood is top shelf. EXCELLENT for groups, celebrating birthdays and for a dinner date with your loved one. Pros: Food, Ambiance Cons: Cover Charge for Club more

Ehh... 3/5/2005

I came here on a Thursday night with 20 people. The wait staff was friendly and seated us promptly, quickly directing the rest of the party when they arrived. Although the staff was all smiles, the food took half an hour to come out although I can't understand why since there weren't that many people there that night. When the food arrived, the portions were tiny and the quality was below average. The ambience of the place, however, was very trendy and hip and it was a nice atmosphere to celebrate my birthday at with my friends. But I won't be back here, unless I'm not hungry. It's better suited as a place to just have drinks and chat. Pros: friendly staff, ambience, location Cons: wait time for food, quality of food, price for quality more

Couldn't pay me to go back... 11/14/2004

This place needs to get off its high horse. The bartenders/waitresses are extremely unpleasant and management was awful! Totally disorganized. This is the worst place I've ever thrown a party and I'm embarrassed that I even subjected my friends to this place. Cons: , overcrowded, a lot of attitude more

Wow! 8/15/2004

All I can say is that this is by far, the best time I have had in NYC. The space is very cool and good for large groups even last minute (big dining room, lotsa balcony lounge cubbies, and a great front cafe). Me and my girlfriends had a blast, the music was really good, the food - AMAZING! and our waitress was this really sweet and accommodating asian girl. I had to come online and say something - I don't understand the bad experiences posted because the place was hopping and full of happy 20-somethings. Pros: cocktails, ambience, food Cons: , no chocolate desserts, a little warm more

Run For Your Life!! 7/7/2004

It is safe to say that my most unpleasant dining experience was at this restaurant. I was with a large party, trying to celebrate a birthday and we were yelled at by the waitress, the birthday cake was simply dumped on the table, even after we requested it as a surprise, and when we spoke to the hostess about the bad service, she simply ignored us. Pretentious place for nothing! Pros: lots of seats, decent lighting Cons: , bad food, bad drinks more

Great martinis 1/12/2004

I'll be brief: great location, *great* martinis, beautiful people. The upstairs lounge can get hot (teperature-wise) but is otherwise chill. Came here many times for drinks, but only once for dinner, and the food was disappointing. Pros: Good crowd, Can often get a booth, Great martinis Cons: Poor A/C upstairs, Mediocre food, Expensive more

fantastico... 1/5/2004

This place is one of the best restaurants I've been to in NY after living here for 6+ years. The food is consistently extremely good - one meal I had here was probably the best I've had in New York. Great wine selection, fun atmosphere, and a little bit (just a little) on the trendy side without having that ""you are privileged to even be allowed in"" attitude. To top it all off, one of the most inexpensive and best value-for-your-money places in NY, too. A great, great place - if you haven't been you are missing out on a great evening. Pros: food, wine selection, atmosphere more

Great for Drinks or Dinner 11/24/2003

This place has good inexpensive food and interesting drinks. They are also not snobby at all, and have fun music. Pros: Inexpensive, Cool Drinks, Music Cons: Too crowded at night more

not a Lemon 7/25/2003

Quiet at lunch- good lunch value- gets noisy and hoping for dinner mixed crowd on the young side. enjoy it. Pros: inexpensive, good lunch Cons: noisy at night more

A great place for a group 6/9/2003

I took fourteen of my friends to The Lemon for my birthday. This is a great spot for a group. The prices are good. The menu is quite varied, including the drinks. The service is superb. Though it is quite loud, it worked for the group scene. Pros: service, menu variety, prices Cons: loud more

Great 4/1/2003

We were a group of 14 celebrating a birthday and we were treated wonderfully! Our reservations for both dinner and drinks in the upstairs lounge were confirmed, the staff was extremely nice and attentive, the food was very good and not overly priced and the atmosphere was perfect. Everyone in the party remarked on what a great place The Lemon is! more

Not exciting, but nice. 3/7/2003

Deciding on where to eat, this was the first place we walked past and just went inside. Weird layout with the giftshop or magazine stand inside it, but we were seated promptly, no reservation. Food from what I could remember was good. Tiny, 2 person booths upstairs around the edge looking down over the main eating area, but there was a private party there so good people watching while eating. Kinda romantic, kinda casual, nice for a date or after-work drink or dinner. Pros: Atmosphere, Good food more

Lots of Zing 2/5/2003

Hmm.. I dunno why people badmouth this place. I been there plenty of times... never had a bad experience. AT ALL! We walk in... get a nice table and eat and drink the night away. Service is good... our glasses and bottles never seemed to go empty. The food is good.. and its reasonably priced (with the exception of that one time when our party of 10 spent over 1000 dollars... hahaha) but i like... try it! Pros: no wait, not pricey, comfy Cons: 1 dollar bathroom lol more

Cancelled 12/23/2002

I booked a small group here for a holiday get-together, and called to confirm it 3 days before. Seemed like a cool place. The day before my event, they called to cancel us because they had gotten a better offer. The hosts who I spoke to showed little remorse, and left me to scramble on my own. Cons: Service, Staff more

Decent bar scene 11/19/2002

Definitely more of a place to go get a table and sit down for a bite and drink. The bar area is far too small and far too crowded. The upstairs area is OK, nothing great, too small. At best, a place to go and get a quick drink. more

Buana had some fun! 11/17/2002

great place to bring all the people you love. Amazing music and helpfull staff. One night is not enough, you must go back. Love the hostess Xena Pros: staff, music, food Cons: expensive more
