Best Childcare - Please Read 11/4/2010

I often wondered how I would word this review, but then I realized I needed to speak from the heart as finding this school has been the best thing that has happened to my son and my family. My son attended a previous daycare facility for over a year. About a month ago, we were told that the school was not a good fit for my son. I felt like a freight train had just run over me. Where was I going to put him? How would he understand the change? Is something wrong with my child? I think every mother out there can understand what it was like to hear those words. My son is three years old and is an absolute joy. He is a boy...and is three, so you can imagine at times we do have our hands full. The school he used to attend was very structured and when my son moved up to preschool, he didn't understand the ""classroom"" setting all day. He was only in there for 2 weeks before I was being told it wasn't a good fit. I immediately called The Goddard School of Cedar Park (as I had heard it was a great school) and was invited by Butch to tour the facility. Butch (the owner) welcomed me with very warm arms and I knew by looking around that my son would have the best care here. It has now been 4 weeks that my son has been at this school and I cannot express how much he loves it. It used to be a struggle every morning getting my son to his previous school, he was constantly crying. Now, my son wakes ME up and tells me he wants to go to school. It is such a nice change knowing that I can walk into the classroom and drop my son off without him latching onto my leg. I would literally have to unlock my sons arms from my legs at his previous school. Today, when I dropped my son off, he gave me a kiss and a hug and said ""bye mommy"". As I was walking out of the school, my eyes teared up because those two words made me so incredibly happy that my son has found his ""niche"" at The Goddard School of Cedar Park. Even as I write this now, my eyes are tearing up. I think every mom out there can understand how important it is to find the best care possible for our children; I found that care at The Goddard School of Cedar Park. I will always be grateful to my son's teachers and to Butch and Maria for creating a loving, fun environment for my son. If you are looking for not just good care, but exceptional, please, from one parent to another, go see The Goddard School of Cedar Park. more

Feeling Less Guilty! 6/17/2010

It was a "dad/son" night out for dinner this evening with my 4 year old after picking him up from preschool (Goddard School). Feeling guilty about spending too much time at work, I asked him what he had learned today. He proceeded to tell me about the savanna and the various animals that live on the African plains. "Very impressive," I thought to myself! Then much to my surprise, completely out of the blue, he correctly identified that the featured instrument playing in the background music was a trumpet AND that it was jazz! "Where did you learn THAT?" I asked. "Mr. Jereme & Ms. Amber (his teachers) - they always tell us about music," my son responded. \r I think my son is bright but must say that I'm constantly amazed at the wonderful job this school and its teachers are doing to challenge and engage his curiosity. He looks forward to going to school and is happy when I pick him up. After an evening like this, I'm feeling less guilty about working too hard and very thank more

Cedar Park's Best Childcare 6/8/2010

This is the most amazing child care facility my child has ever attended. The teaching staff are amazing in that they show real affection for each child. The first thing I noticed when we walked in the doors on our first visit, was how organized, friendly and clean it was. My son had Ms. Kaci, and I have to say that she made a real life lasting impact on my son. My son would cry at the end of the day, because it was time to go home. He didn't want to leave Goddard, Ms. Kaci and his friends. That right there, told me that we were in the right place. Pros: Amazing Teachers, Facility and Cleanliness Cons: No afterschool care, yet.... more

I've toured the facility at different times and noticed it is always well contolled, neat, and the kids are enjoying the classrooms. I've worked with Goddard School of Cedar Park for the last several years and find them to be extremely professional and the children are having a great time. more

EXCELLENT School and Instruction 10/18/2009

I have toured this school and is is the cleanest, most sanitary, and most well-kept daycare or pre-school I have found. The teachers actually have degrees in education (unlike almost all other pre-schools that hire young kids and non-degreed staff) and the student-to-teacher ratios are very low. In addition, the owner (Butch Aggen) has a Master's Degree in education and has actually worked in school administration - so he understands the learning needs of children first-hand! The building is new and well-maintained and the school itself has monthly 'themes' that the learning activities center around, complete with educational guests such as UT professors, NASA personnel, and others that you wouldn't expect and won't EVER find at any other pre-school! If you want your child to be in a SAFE and well-managed LEARNING environment that they will get something out of - THIS IS THE PLACE TO ENROLL THEM! Pros: Extremely sanitary, degreed & educated staff, class ratios Cons: None Known more

My son loves his school: The Goddard School 10/18/2009

We moved to Austin couple of months ago, and my son started to attend the Goddard School at Cedar Park. He is very happy to go to school every day, and comes back telling me the fun things he did in the day. His daily routines include lots of musics, moving, jumping, fun stories, and science projects. Pros: Loving teachers, clean and safe environment more

Thanks Goddard School of Cedar Park 9/8/2009

My daughter loved playing at the Goddard School this summer. We loved the play-based philosophy, and my daughter was enthusiastic about going to school each morning that she attended. The teachers at the school worked to distract and redirect children instead of resorting to "time-outs." I greatly appreciated this approach, and know that my daughter benefited from it. We plan to attend the Goddard School for their summer session each year. more

Awesome preschool/daycare 8/15/2009

Both of my kids attend the Goddard School in Cedar Park. The older has been going for about a year and a half, the youngest for about 4 months. The facility is clean and bright inside; outside, the kids have huge areas to run around and to play on rock-solid commercial playground equipment. In the summer, they do a weekly "splash day", which incorporates age-appropriate water play into the kiddos' outdoor time. Both of my children love splash day! The school also provides "enrichment programs" where outside instructors come in to teach piano, dance, soccer and martial arts. These do cost extra, as these are pay-per-service type classes from other childhood programs, but since I'm a working mom who wouldn't have time to provide my kids these extras during the week, it's really cool that they will come to my kids. The owners, Butch and Maria, have always been kind, conscientious and professional, with a good bit of themselves and their own personalities thrown in. I enjoy dealing wit more

Great Preschool----Highly recommed 8/5/2009

The Goddard School and staff provide a loving and nurturing environment for their children. I have felt comfortable knowing my child was in a safe and fun learning environment. My daughter has grown personally and academically in the two years she was at Goddard. I would highly recommend the School. more

Outstanding Preschool--Highly Reccomend! 7/20/2009

The Goddard School provided an outstanding preschool experience for my daughter. The teachers were caring and knowledgeable and they were concerned about the needs of each child. The activities were fun and educational. Several times during the year, outside sources were brought in so the kids could have additional learning experiences. My daughter was fully prepared for Kindergarten, and in fact was one of the best readers in her class, thanks to the education she received at The Goddard School. more

Nice preschool 5/14/2009

I have a 3 and 5 yr old child enrolled. They've been there 1 1/2 years and I've found the teachers really connect well with my children and with parents. Seems they really enjoy what they do. I also like the gym that the school has - nice for the kids if its raining or too hot. Other schools, kids are stuck in same classroom all day when weather is bad. Good balance of structure but free play for the children.\r \r I recommend the school highly. more

Great preschool! 5/3/2009

We Love Goddard School! 4/20/2009

We were delighted when The Goddard School opened in Cedar Park as it was the only school that met the standards we expected for our daughter. The owners, Butch and Maria Aggen have really raised the bar with this school! It is a clean environment filled with experienced teachers and a planned curriculum that gave us confidence that our daughter was not just experiencing a place to play but more importantly a place to learn. Every day brought new activities and we love the daily reports from the teachers that keep us in touch with the "going-ons" on a daily basis. The most important aspect of all is that we know that our daughter is truly cared for and loved. The teachers make a point to know all the names of the students and it is so nice to see the friendly faces call her by name in the mornings upon arrival. Madeline has truly grown socially, academically, and most of all, interpersonally because of the nurturing ambiance not only in her classroom but throughout the entire schoo more
