The Village Baker

Village Baker is most definitely one of the yummiest places my husband and I have come across. The people that run it are always so chipper and nice! They make my sandwiches perfect to order! (Something that's difficult for other places because of my utter and total pickiness...) Their bread is absolutely delicious, the cheese is never dry and crunchy from sitting out. The meat is always perfect! All in all, The Village Baker is just a perfect place to eat! more

The Village Baker has the yummiest bread I've ever had (store bought)!! Their store is small and clean. They offer loaves of bread as well as menu items like sandwiches, soup, & pizza. They will also let you sample their bread when you go in. We like to get their sandwiches that come with THICK, yummy bread. Another good thing to try is their desserts. They have "day old" bread that is from the day before which is usually discounted at a better price, yet still perfectly delicious! They also offer gift certificates where you select the amount. Be careful of them charging tax for it, though. We had a not-so-smart cashier charge us tax on a gift certificate we got. Then when it was redeemed, the recipient had to pay taxes again! Fortunately, this is the only bad experience we have had. more

Village Baker has excellent homemade bread. The honey wheat is expecially good. They have delicious sandwiches made on their yummy bread. They also make pizza and cookies. I have never tried the pizza and cookies because I love the bread and that's what I go for. The lines aren't too long as long as you don't come right at noon. more

The Village Baker is a great bakery. They have great sandwitches there. My co-workers love their salads and rolls. Its a small store that has great food. They have just remodeled it so it is a rather nice place to eat. It is located on 90th south and about 27th west. Check it out~ more
