New Owners 1/24/2015

The new owners have definitely given a new life to this amazing place. Rooms are clean and cozy and some have been renovated. Penny and David were wonderful hosts that made sure all our needs were met. Even breakfast was amazing even though we forgot to mention my egg allergy. Penny grabbed the pan cake mix and made probably the most amazing pancakes I have ever eaten. Although the Lodge Suite does not have a personal hot tub anymore we were able to enjoy the new one that has been installed by the pool. We are satisfied with the stay and will definitely be back. My biggest suggestion is for Penny to invest in robes for the guest to go to the hot tub. Also our t.v. didn't work but that was a DISH issue not the B&Bs. Although Penny did supply us with a complimentary bottle of wine to make up for it. more

VAGABOND INN 4/27/2012

We stayed for 3 nights at the end of May in one of the jacuzzi rooms. Very quiet as it`s off the main drag, but still within a short walking distance to the downtown area. Yes, it is across the road from a high school, but I did not hear any noise at all and school was not quite out yet. The outdoor pool and jacuzzi area is nice. The pool is warm enough to use on fairly cold days, it`s a very comfortable temperature so you can stay in for quite a long time, and the hot tub is not too hot. The staff is very unobtrusive. I didn`t even run into any of the housekeeping staff. If you wanted to, you could have a perfectly fine vacation without having to leave the cottage grounds. It`s not super-deluxe, but the grounds and rooms are very well-kept, there`s plenty of patio furniture and nice places to sit, a bbq area, empty mini-fridge and microwave in the rooms, super quiet, comfy beds, private jacuzzi... Only problem I found is that the heating/air conditioning unit is loud, you might need earplugs to sleep if you have it on. Excellent customer service and a overall a great value, especially if you can go in the middle of the week. more
