I am happy with the work and very nice to deal with. The final price was higher than the price range quoted which I asked a couple of times when was communicated before they got into the job. It was till lower than the other quotes I received from other shops. If I have to have a transmission (5 cars) worked on again, I'll use The Transmission Shop again! more

I took my car in because of the check engine light came on and the care would not go into over drive They checked the car out for free, and found a bad sensor wire. I then had them fix the wire and I was on my way (very happy). They could have easily tried to scam me and rip me off for more money. Very honest, and I appreciated it very much. more

Aaron and his staff are top notch. I had my transmission fixed by them first, and they did an excellent job at a very fair price in a very fast time frame for all they had to do. A few weeks later my truck was running rough and I thought that I was having transmission problems again. Aaron checked it out again for free and then found that I needed a tune up. I was not aware that they did other work like this. I was pleasantly surprised and he had the work done in a day. I find them to be very honest, hard working guys that do the right thing by you and your vehicle. Highly recommend them to anyone. more

I brought my taruas in to be looked at because the speed sensor (i thought) was going out on my transmission. Well Aaron had my car looked at and my sensor was fine. It was just the clip to the wire that needed to be replaced. So They replaced the clip, and they fixed a few other minor things that apparently needed to be fixed (at no extra charge) I have been driving my car with the problem for a few years. NOW Since Aarons crew fixed my car, i feel safe for the 1st time in years on the road especially with my son. My car drives like a brand new car now. Thank you so much! more

Excellent service and i trust them with my vehicle. They knew how to fix the transmission problem on my car at a cheaper price than their competition. They get your vehicle back to you as quickly as possible and stand behind their work. I strongly recommend them if you are having problems with your transmission. more

integrity is important. These guys have it. -2001 F150 with 167K on it. 5.4L R470 tranny. -I do 90% of my own maintenance. -Issue with shifting to overdrive between 40 an 45 mph. -Did my maintenance. No change. -Took it to them (Garland). Courteous, pleasant, well spoken. -Explained problem and my previous maintenance. -They analyzed it, thoroughly. -Explain trouble was a spark plug misfire. -They were right. Problem is resolved. -Did NOT try to sell me something I did not need. -Refused my offered to buy someone dinner or case of drinks. -When I do need transmission work they will have my business. -I will recommend them to anybody that needs tranny work. -I can trust them to shoot straight with me. -They are honest, fair and competent. -This is obviously making them successful. more

Good job on timeliness,truck was done sooner then expected. New seal installed ,but is still leaking.(will be calling)there was a oil stain in the driver seat that caused a stain in my girlfriend's dress and my pants.Overall good service,manager very helpful and knowledgeable,fair pricing. more

These guys are so professional and nice. There is no doubt they know everything there is to know about transmissions. Arron was the best and most honest "mechanic" I have ever dealt with. The only problem I have with them is that they don't do ever thing on cars. I would never ever take my car anywhere else if they did. God bless those guys at "The Transmission Shop". more

Recently my wife was stranded in Allen, Texas. The car she had driven down in from Edmond, Ok. had developed a major transmission problem and was unable to make it back home. My only experience with transmission repair in over 50 years of driving was with a nationally known repair shop some 10 years ago. It was a total disaster and the transmission never did work correctly after their repair. I was not anxious to repeated that performance. Upon checking the internet on transmission shops in the Allen Texas area, I came across the good reviews of the Plano Transmission Shop. I called and got hold of Aaron, the Mgr. He was totally professional from the very beginning. Although my only contact has been the telephone, the service as well as the rebuild of the transmission has been A+++++! Many thanks, Aaron. I am so glad that the Transmission Shop was recommended to me. The service was wonderful, I had planned on taking a taxi back to my apartment but was so happy when they provided me with a ride back to my apartment which I did not expect. They explained everything in detail what they had found and what had to be done. My car was returned sooner than I expected and I can't say enough about this shop, except the service was wonderful, cost of repair was very reasonable and the staff was courteous and professiional. Thank you again for the great service. I would recommend this shop highly. more

I have a 1995 Mercedes Benz S600 with 136K miles. The reverse gear was starting to go out so I needed a full rebuild. The store manager, Andrew Adams, was both polite and knowledgeable. He even kept my vehicle indoors protected from the freezing weather. Once complete, Andrew had the techs make several adjustments at no charge to make sure the transmission shifted perfectly. I was impressed with his professionalism. I am a very happy customer and would recommend the Transmission Shop to anyone Final rebuild cost: $1869. Ken Muller Lakewood Village more
