I just returned from my 25 year wedding anniversary weekend at the Omphoy Ocean Resort. We could have picked any of the luxury hotels in Palm Beach for this auspicious occasion. But a young man named Yunus Yilmaz, head of Food & Beverage, convinced me that his hotel would be the best place for my wife and me to enjoy our anniversary weekend. Not only was I wowed by my experience from Hello to Goodbye, I was blown away. (TripAdvisor: have you considered ""blown away"" an additional overall rating for properties?) I'd like to recognize and thank a few people who made my stay memorable. In no particular order, at the Front Desk, Karen and Molly greeted me by name and their genuine personalities made me feel instantly welcome and reluctant to leave. Engineer Ron was quick to respond to a concern I had - which was a false alarm; Beach Servers, Lucas (aka Ace), Valentine and Rhett remembered my name and my unusual habits and they each served me and the other Guests with great respect and dignity; Pool Servers Tayler and Jules? What can I say, I never witnessed two people work so hard and efficient to please the tough Palm Beach crowd. If you should visit or stay at the Omphoy, try their fantastic Om-elets for breakfast. Make sure Francisca cooks and Greg serves; they're a dynamite team and the food is nothing short of outstanding. I had a few club sodas at the bar as well... who do I want mixing my sodas during future visits? None other than Ms. Joie. She's simply the best bartender around. And the three people that create this insanely cool culture, in my opinion, are Daniel, Allison and Yunus, with Christopher Santuae (GM) steering the ship. This place was the best kept secret in town 'til I showed up.
