On the plus side, the service is good and the fish is fresh. However, the fish was overcooked and not flavorful on my two recent visits. Inexcusable! more

This was my 10th visit. The service is slipping, portions are becoming smaller and overall NOT a good experience. In a city abound with restaurants in that price range what used to be an exciting experience has turned into a "never return" more

Sundays Lobster special for $30 is great. Food is so fresh you still taste the salt water. And the Tres Leches is amazing more

Great alternative to the staple Miami beach 4 star redtaurants. Not only do they have some of the highest quality fresh fish and seafood in Miami, they also have a swinging full bar (serving a bloody Mary with fresh minced crab meat!) locals should Definately have this establishment on their seafood rotation, always unbeatable fresh quality seafood. more

First I would like to start out saying our waiter was awesome. We strolled in while walking by and although we were in jeans we were still treated wonderfully (I was nervous about that). We had Tuna TarTar for our app and it was fresh and delicious. Our main courses were equally as good, swordfish and redsnapper, and our waiter helped to recommend our now favorite wines. The only suggestion I have is to only order one side dish. There is enough for 4 in each side dish. Great experience and definitely worth the price. more

Oceanaire is a great restaurant. The seafood is fresh. The wait staff is very helpful. It is somewhat pricey but it is worth it. Had the ceviche and the crabcakes as apps. Had the halibut as the main course as it was in season and it was delicious. Ask for Andrew as your server. Helped us through the menu and was great though the whole meal. more

We breezed into Oceanaire. A warm yet bright ambiance to the place. Our waitress was very knowledgeable of the ever changing menu. We started off with a BLT salad that was spectacular, for a salad anyway, I guess it's true, everything is better with bacon. Our party ordered a variety of sides & main courses. For sides we got the red steamed potatoes & mofongo. The tender red steamed potatoes were almost sweet when mix with the whole roasted garlic cloves that accompanied them. I got a pricey churrasco that was very good. My wife got the rainbow trout in a soy sauce which I sampled & was pretty good. Her friend got a Costa Rican black & blue mahi mahi which I sampled as well & I must say I would select this dish on my next visit. A meaty piece of fish with a peppery bite. The meal ended with a mandarin creme brulee that had a medley of flavors we enjoyed. I was impressed overall with my experience here. It is pricey though more

Great seafood.......great food 1/4/2009

The crabcakes are the BEST crabcakes ever! The creamed corn is really good too. If you're looking for fresh seafood this is the place. They have a daily menu which checks off what came in that day. Pros: Great food, great location Cons: Awkward waitress more

Best Seafood Restaurant Ever! 12/13/2008

We were blown away with the amazing freshness of the seafood. The service was second to none. We decided to start off with some fresh king crab as an starter. Our waiter came to the table with the crab on a cart and skillfully took all of the meat from the shell and served it to us with hot drawn butter on the side. For our main course my wife had wild king salmon. It was a huge filet served with stir fry shitake mushrooms and spinach. I had a whole hogfish that was served asian style, fried with a sweet chili sauce. Again the waiter came to the table to de-bone my fish. We did not have room for desert but the ones we saw coming out of the kitchen looked huge. This is one of the best restaurants I have ever dined at, it is definitely worth the extra coin for a great night out. more

Overpriced inedible seafood, head to Long John Silvers for a better experience! 6/7/2008

We visited Oceanaire back in October and while the service was good, everything else was under par. The fish arrived, overcooked and small. The prices are super inflated for what you get! It is unfortunate that we live in a city on the water and are hard pressed to find decent seafood. Skip this upscale rip off! Pros: Okay service Cons: Inedible food with a high price tag! more

This fish house is convenient to my office but with the prices they charge I will drive to Joe's for a good fish lunch. The crowd is down in this once busy restaurant and they can't blame the economy, their prices are driving away customers. Still can't get over their charging over $9.00 for a slice of Key Lime pie. more

Okay I had heard from several of my friends that this was a excellent place for Seafood. I guess I'll have to find new friends or teach that Talapia is not Gourmet. \r \r Oceanair is over priced and the service is sub par at best. Not the best place for a busienss lunce especially if your on a time schedule. Your better off going to Joe's especially when you compare pirce and quality. more

BEST MEAL I'VE EVER HAD 8/29/2007

granted, we went off on some food and had a 300 dollar lunch, but it was unreal. DEFINITELY GET THE CRAB CAKES. all crab, no cake. also had huge shrimp cocktail and an Italian Bluefin Tuna sliced up totally raw. doesn't get any better than that. food, service, and ambience were all perfect. Pros: quality of seafood, wide variety, large portions, great service Cons: expensive to very expensive more
